Can someone share with me the benefits of a home school co-op?
How about the cons?
I have registered my children for one this fall. I have (2) 1st graders and a preschooler.
It's Christian based, once a week. The 1st graders will be doing social studies, science and gym time.
Thanks~

Hi Just A Mom and welcome!
I'm a homeschool mom of 11 years and have had little experience with co-ops. Maybe there are other homeschoolers here who could give you more info on it.
My homeschool group had a co-op spanish class this year. My first grader attended. He really enjoyed it. I don't know if it really helped me out much but I find that I don't need as much help with my little ones as I do with my teenagers. I'm looking into a co-op for them next year that offers Algebra II. I think that we would get some good benefit from this.
Btw, I think you should change your name from
Just A Mom
to
Wow!... A Mom! :D ;)

HI Poly~
Thanks for the welcome!
I guess I am turning to the co-op to fill in what I am not able to do at home. (science and gym being the attraction for me!)
We are finishing up our 2nd year of homeschooling. I have 6 year old twins and a 3 year old.
Other than music my kids only get activities at church.
I wanted to branch out alittle.
