Like I heard Bob Enyart say, it's not a Justice System, it's just a system.

From the radio this morning...
When asked who might have murdered his wife, his reply was, "shut up".
At least he didn't promise to keep searching for the killer...

Who knows. There was plenty of reasonable doubt here.
And not to put too fine a point on it, his wife sounded like she deserved what she got.

It seems money buys justice in this country any more...OJ, Michael Jackson, Robert Blake. If some schmo next door to me committed any of their 'alleged' crimes, he'd be locked up and the key thrown away.

Blake's was not a cut and dry case. There was nothing directly linking him to the crime. The guy deserved an acquittal.
OJ and Jacko, on the other hand, should hang higher than Haman.

This is true - but Scott Peterson's case was circumstantial, too. The prosecution had some pretty flakey witnesses in Blake's case though - and Blake's atty. 'impugned their integrity' and thrashed their testimony. Money buys attorneys who have wicked strategy!

True. Didn't think of it that way.
What killed Peterson's chances, I think, was his complete lack of remorse through the ordeal. The guy looked stone-faced, bored, and preoccupied. Blake, on the other hand, struck everyone as just a pathetic old man. (It didn't help that an unborn child was involved, and that Peterson was also cheating on his late wife.)
Personally, I think it's likely that Blake DID shoot her. Unfortunately, the case was not strong enough, and at this point--terrible as it sounds--who really cares? Bonnie Blakely sounded like a despicable woman who messed with the wrong guy, and it's too bad she's dead but I have a hard time feeling angry at Robert Blake.

Agreed. I was in jury duty a month ago, and the judge admonished the potential jurors that verdicts represent the 'truth'; he then said, as an aside, 'But don't think about the OJ case, ok?' And Turbo hit the mark - money does buy injustice - injustice for the rest of us.

Blake tried to have his wife knocked off a couple times. Even if he didn't pulling the trigger, he knows who did.

I think he got stuck in the Barretta mode. He's so loopy! But, as with OJ, they have to live with themselves and their consciences (if they even have a conscience) forever.

It wouldn't have mattered if they had convicted him.. Yesterday morning before the verdict came in, it was "discovered" that the prosecuteres had "neglected" to turn over a piece of video showing Blake vomitting after he was informed of his wife's demise.
The defense contended it showed how distressed he was :blabla: and that it would have benefitted their defense.
If Blake had been found guilty, the judge would have dismissed the cinviction based on the evidence the prosecuters had held back during the defense's discovery.
It's the same in the Michale Jackson case: the judge has already laid they groundwork so even if he is convicted, the conviction will be thrown out. The judge tainted the jury last week when he told them he had to "order" Jackson to court.
Must be nice to be able to pay people off...
