View Full Version : Zakath is a fraud!
Sozo
March 29th, 2005, 10:42 PM
The resident :zakath:, Zakath (or as I like to refer to him...Zakass), is a complete fraud.
He "claims" to have once been a "christian", but is now an atheist.
I asked him a simple question, which he refuses to answer, because he knows it will expose him as a liar.
I asked him when the following took place when he was a "christian"?
"The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God"
His only recourse was to run and hide (again) and to put me on ignore.
Perhaps he will come back and tell us how he suddenly fell ill.
What a pathetic loser! :loser:

Zackass suddenly began posting right before this week began at an increased rate. One has only to read his posts in the last few days to see how he plays his game around here. He chums up with those who are naive to his ways, gathers his other atheistic and agnostic friends under his wing, and then he cautiously takes his shots at those who put their faith in God, only to claim fowl when countered. He is calculated and deceptive in his schemes, and avoids those who expose him. He is a confused and mentally unstable troll.

I have seen posts and links where Zak explained his background, his perceptions, and his present state of atheism. I thought frauds pretended to be something they are not. It seems to me he is quite clear that he is not religious, and he was deluded when he claimed to be a Christian. He tried to play the game, but obviously something was wrong or went wrong. I do not get the impression that he was impersonating a pastor to fleece the flock. He seems to have an interesting resume, but now puts his time and energy into a godless life.
Let's hear it from the horses mouth. Sozo has a habit of starting threads against people, but not giving them a heads up that it exists. It is easy to scoff that he is running, but like myself, he may simply be unaware at the moment.
For the record, I am not defending his views or integrity. My desire is to pray for him, and defend and proclaim the Gospel to him. Only the Holy Spirit can convince and convict him. For those who want to join the cause, there is a thread about converting Zakath.

I was simply going on your own proclamation that you were a christian at one point in your life.
A christian is a child of God. At what point did the Spirit of God bear witness to your spirit that you are a child of God? When did the Spirit let you know that you were a christian?

I was brought up in the faith. I made a "profession prayer" as a child, so if you're looking for specifics I guess you'd have to use that. There is no one moment where there was an "Ah-hah!" moment, and I think anyone with honesty would admit that's not uncommon.

This sums you up quite well, Sozo. While securing your own "status" in Heaven, you damn those who dare disagree with you to Hell. You wear the badge "intolerant" as if it is honorable. But you fail to understand the true meaning of the word and thus demonstrate your own ignorance. I've known many people who are proud of their shortcomings. It is a sad state of affairs. It says it bears witness 'with' your spirit, not 'to' your spirit. It matters not, the point, in context, is that we are in the spirit and not in the flesh. The Spirit of God bears witness that we are children of God. Our spirit bears witness that we are children of God. They both equally bear witness that we are children of God. It has to do with God letting us know that we are His so that we do not grow weary as we continue to suffer in the body, knowing that they will be redeemed as well.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" 16. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17. and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with [Him] in order that we may also be glorified with [Him]. 18. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20. For the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21. that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for [our] adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

True believers do have this witness from the Spirit. The Word of God and the character of God are more objective standards for our assurance. Millions of Mormons have a strong, subjective burning that they have the truth. Satan can counterfeit in the realm of feelings. We need an objective apologetic and a subjective one. Many people have a subjective, religious experience and 'assurance' that is deception and flesh. They think they are children of God, but they are not. I have the Spirit's witness AND the Word and character of God. So, many could and do say they have the subjective witness, but they also may have a false gospel or Christ (save your breath pronouncing which category I am in....no god-playing during fellowship week).

I support not banning sozo. I support tuning him in to a more credible overview of things.
I think he lacks credibility to think I am not a Christian and worse than the atheists here. I have stood up against the atheists as much or more than he has. Speaking the truth in love rather than ad hominem attacks is biblical, not compromise.
Knight generally sides with sozo, so I am not sure what he is whining about. Knight is just more mature and level-headed to know that there is room in the kingdom for sozo and myself. I do not compromise on the essentials of the faith. Few will make it into heaven with sozo's legalistic views. The giants of the faith are damned because they do not articulate some things the same way he does.
It seems like death by cop (cowardly suicide) to want to be banned. If one cannot stand the heat, get out of the kitchen yourself. If freedom of speech is passe, then start your own happy holy huddle.
I believe God has given us divine appointments with the mockers here. I trust the power of His Word and Spirit to convince and convict them. I would rather give reasoned arguments for the hope that is within me, than attack other Christians and alienate searchers or reprobates. We can proclaim the wrath of God and judgment against some here, but others are honest doubters. Our witness should take priority over venting our spleens like we are Crusaders, killing those who do not convert on our time table.
There is a believers only section on the forum, is there not? If you do not value everyone's opinion or do not desire to influence the lost (rather than blast them), why not just hang out there. You could put everyone on ignore except your groupies who blindly agree with your ideas.
If you had a better grounding in church history, practical Christianity, exegesis, etc., you would exhibit more humility before God and others.

Although I will admit, it is sometimes amusing to watch a fight, but this hasen't been much of one....this thread was more like watching a whiney little kid begging for candy in the grocery store. You know the kid won't win, but you watch anyway because it draws attention.
I think there is a need for Christians to have a place where they can debate theology, but that is not what is going on here. This place has become a platform for those who hate the gospel to mock God.
Uh, have you looked around on TOL yet? Open your eyes.

Sozo, the poster with the rebel flag loves you, at least, you should feel honored (not).
Might I suggest reinventing yourself? Perhaps a softer, more Christlike Sozo. You could start by not posting when you feel enraged or insulted. You could begin to actually read what people post and try to understand the spirit of their words. You could try branching out a bit and reading some interesting books or meeting people who are different than you.
Here's one simple thing you could try. Next time someone posts something to which you feel compelled to reply with some awful commentary such as is your habit. Try, instead, to direct your attention inwards. Turn your brain towards itself, in a manner of speaking. And observe how the post makes you feel and why it makes you feel that way and why do you think that "why" is there. What could that hurt, Sozo?

This is why I want to be banned from this place. Zakass, granite, godrulz, gerald, and wickwoman have destroyed the credibilty of this site, and made it nothing more than a complete farce. No, the site only losses credibility if nobody answers lies with the truth.

Sozo was sincere... I can say this because in real life I had a friend to whom I lent my truck to for a few days - the truck was stolen and he had some of his brother's tools in it, I told him not to worry that it was not his fault that my truck got stolen - that he did not owe me anything for my loss. Not only did my friend not think anything of my loss - he wanted me to pay for his brother's tools that were stolen when my truck was stolen.
Some people just have a warped sense of priority ... my friend was a college graduate and had been invited to learn at the Billy Graham school of evangelism at the time,,, he was very upright and honest, would not hurt a fly... but somehow his wires in his brain figured that I was responsible for his brothers tools, which he himself left out in the truck while the truck was in his posession. Anyways it taught me that even though someone can be completley out of reality they can still be honest and love the Lord.

Wickwoman Wow! That is warped. Are ya'll still friends?
We are... I never paid for his brother's tools, and that did not hurt the friendship. We both forgave each other for the other's percieved shortfall.
It was worth the lesson in human thought, and looking back - I today would of gladly paid the price of the lost tools just to not loose the friendship, though I did not, and again, the freindship did not break up either.
Realizing how warped various people are in this world - we really need a test to check someone's reality ... most people just view the world as they see themselves - this simply is not possible when one starts to listen, remember, contemplate and reason why things are as they are. The world is somewhat of a strange place, and I did not know this till after I was thirty - some people are really really in left field, completely bizzerk. I have started in the past few years to notice what is familiar with these "warped people" - to have some outward appearance - some outward sighn.

Are you speculating, or do you have proof? The high road would be to voluntarily withdraw and not make the moderators the bad guy. I would not ban someone who begged to be. I would tell them to pull their own plug. It stills seems chicken to do 'suicide by cop'.

WickwomanWhen you figure out what it is let me know so I can steer clear of them. I'm like a freak magnet sometimes.
The literal hell is a good one - if they follow the literal hell doctrine, they are insane, or soon will be - even right in front of our eyes - BCK - went from normal person to believing everyone who is not of his 'opinion' is a god hating belligerent idiot who deserves to be tormented for eternity - they just loose it eventually, they can't try to worship the literal hell and brimstone searing flesh god, and keep their sanity... simply impossible.
The ten or so words Jesus spoke - Peter you are the rock that I will build my church - we do not have the Aramaic - but these words, and we don't even have the original language version, have culminated into volumes of written doctrine on the authority of the church - and yet Jesus Himself, used no authority, nor did Peter, except to reasonably explain to his followers and pray that the Lord God Almighty and the Spirit would kindle an understanding in the Spirit of the person/people spoken too ... no murder, burning at the stake, no making examples of people. This is the second sign - how people try to influence you.
Those are the two major ones, which one can tell by conversation. On a day to day contact - the eye - the larger the eye pupil, the more likely the person likes what they see - good to know if one plays poker, and as well I have found that the further away one walks from other people - the less they like people in general, the more critical they are of other people.
Hope that helps.

Dear Frankie:
Looks like you know very little about me or my philsophies. I've never said anything remotely similar to "attuned with the Universe." Perhaps you have me confused with Shirley MacLean.
An emotional void, is an interesting term. I think it's used often by those who practice "pop psychology" like your wife, for instance. The reason I ask what she means by this is because she probably has no idea what an emotional void is. So, if she does know, I'd love for her to tell me.
I really just don't enjoy empty words and phrases, Frankie. I think when a person uses such a phrase as an insult which I believe that phrase was intended for, they should actually mean what they say or not say it. And, since your wife probably doesn't know what the phrase actually means, she probably didn't mean it.
But, I could certainly be wrong, so feel free to post it here if you figure out what it means.
