I probably should be routing for OU, but I think that Kentucky will win it all. I guess that is still okay, since I first watched Tubby Smith coach here in Tulsa, back in the day!

Basketball, shmas-ketball...

Personally, I get bored with the sport.

Personally, I get bored with the sport. I hate basketball!!!

I am a hockey guy.

But I will admit... I love the NCAA basketball tournament format. It is really exciting to see who is left from a 64 team field.

How could anyone hate March Madness? What . . . the players aren't athletic enough? They don't try hard enough? There's not enough strategy to the game? The "one loss and you're out" system makes games meaningless? What possible reason could anyone have?

Good point--it can get interesting.

For me, I'd be happy if all of the underdogs made their way through the tournament and the No. 1 seeds be forced to go home.

And who doesn't get an impish kick out of listening to the fans of Austin Peay University chanting, "Let's go Pee! Let's go Pee!"

Reminds me of a junior high school in my area that used to be called Pendleton Middle School. The kids at ball games would giddily chant, "PMS! PMS!" So the school board changed the name to something like Madison County Middle School.

So guess what the kids chant now?

"PMS! PMS!"

Hysterical

Oh, no! You've gone too far! Now my wife will want me to stop coming to these ungodly, anti-american web sites!

I mean it's not like it's college football, for God's sake!

Oh, no! I wish we had a baseball or basketball type series or tourney. Something. (Although this year it did produce a great championship game. Usually not.)

It's just that football is so clearly God's sport. You can tell from all the prayers in the end-zone!

Go Horns!

I find hockey to be insufficiently manly; I prefer hurling (for those unfamiliar, think full-contact...golf!)

As for "hurling," in college that phrase had another meaning all together. (Glad I lived through it!)

As for full-contact golf, wasn't that the idea behind "Happy Gilmore?"

I figured the college "hurling" was way older, but the sport of hurling is no doubt cooler!
