As part of an anti-tax rant, Bob said this:

The government spends half of what our country produces. Half of the GNP - the gross national product. And no, I'm not talking about highschool graduates.
Later on he points out:

The number one most popular medical procedure [in America] is abortion. So, in Russia the abortion rate remains five times higher than that of the United States! But you know what, that might not be true, because in the United States, California doesn't report the number of abortions - the State Health Department - and neither do other states. And there's generally no requirement to report abortions. And so our abortion numbers are higher than the Washington Post would realise. But it's higher in Russia. The Health Ministry there reports that for every live birth, there are almost 2 abortions. Imagine that! For every live birth there are 1.7 abortions. In this country, it's about 25%. One in four babies are killed by abortions in America. In America, American mothers, one in four American mothers are murderers, guilty of infanticide. And you wonder what's wrong with our culture?
A lot of Christians find it distasteful that some other Christians are activists and fight against abortion. They'd rather people just - well just don't bring it up. It's tacky. Sad. No Christian has the flexibility from God to be apathetic on the issue of unborn children being killed.
Bob isn't entirely accurate either - the leap from "one in four babies aborted" to "one in four mothers have had abortions" is pretty stupid.
So anyway, Bob might say the odd stupid or insensitive thing (like any talkshow host), but overall it's a worthwhile show. Funny and controversial :D .

Yeah Ant, I thought the same thing when heard the leap. His statement would only be sure to be true if there were only only baby per mother. But surely many murderous mothers are repeat customers.
Then again, many mothers have several children without aborting any of them. A lot of it probably balances out. Maybe as an estimate, his leap wasn't so far off.

You can't say "one in four mothers are murderers" when you're talking about an average...
It's misrepresentation, just like what Bob was complaining about...
