Enjoying the recession.

Posted November 13th, 2008 at 08:47 PM by Knight
I must admit I am enjoying this recession.

No, no, no... don't get me wrong, I don't want to see any of you or my friends and family get hurt by this economic disaster. But there is something about watching these over-valued, bloated companies get the comeuppance.

It would be much more fun if Uncle Sam would get out of the way and allow these Wall Street "face-plants" occur in full speed.

I don't have a 401k, nor am I invested in the stock market so it's easy for me to make such a blog post.

In the end I will be hurt by this recession as it will certainly "trickle down" and bite me sooner or later but for now I think I will grab some popcorn and enjoy the show.

Hey, Knight! Uncle Sam, with the help of us voters, is complicit in the failures. That's why Uncle Sam isn't going to get out of the way. And, by golly, we just got through voting for "more of the same" big time.

I join you in the popcorn line. CNN and Fox News have become my prime-time comedy channels. For a reall belly laugh, there are always some hearings on C-Span.

How stupid are these union workers?

Boss: We need to cut costs.
Union: We won't work for anything less!
Boss: Fine. Then I'll have to let you go.
Union: Ha! We win. Wait...
