We kept pointing out to you people that he wasn't a radical leftist, but apparently, it never got through.

Who is "you people" exactly?

BTW, not everything we got from Gitmo was obtained by torture. There were some experienced interrogators there, who didn't do anything illegal.

There were plenty on TOL who wanted to close Gitmo, and not just because of water-boarding. They wanted it closed on principle. Now they're in an awkward position. If you weren't opposed to Gitmo in principle, then you're not in the same predicament.

Second, it provides a handy excuse for our enemies to torture captured Americans.

They don't need an excuse.

Gitmo itself, not a bad idea; once they got some knowledgable people in there,

Says someone who I can safely assume doesn't have a background in military intelligence, but stayed in a Holiday Inn last night?

So do I watch the liberals.

Notice that the birthers here are generally pretty angry when we scoff at them trying to pretend they aren't.

No, they're really not, Barbarian. Your constant saying so doesn't make it so. You've consistently used a tactic in which you project a strawman attitude onto people that they're not exhibiting. And by "they" I can again safely assume you're talking about one poster. I've read plenty of posts by him and by other people who disagree with you and they're not mad. Your methodology is pretty transparent and I don't respect it, not that it matters at all.

The "Venn diagram" is a laughably simplistic attempt to classify people's political beliefs.

Simple is good, for some purposes. For this one, it's fine.

There is such a thing as objective reality, and it counts.

I agree with you on that point, but will add that perception often is reality, because perceptions are often a correct reading of the objective reality.
