From demagogue to demigod to god.
"Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God." - Thomas Jefferson
"The Hand of providence has been so conspicuous in all this, that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations." - George Washington
"What is faith? Is it to believe that which is evident? No. It is perfectly evident to my mind that there exists a necessary, eternal, supreme, and intelligent being. This is no matter of faith, but of reason." - Voltaire

Obvious OP jokes aside, I was struck by the sentiment such a comment betrays more than the literalism of the issue.
Seems the me the media has given up all pretenses of objectivity at this time and they're less and less ashamed to come right out and be blatant about it...

TV news seems to have become dominated by commentators rather than reporters, people who aren't even making a pretense of objectivity, and who are essentially paid to offer their opinions. I don't know if that is good or bad. At least you know the bias of the people who are delivering your news, and that can be a really useful thing to know.
I'd also suggest that the contrast between a Rush Limbaugh or a Sean Hannity and someone like Keith Olbermann or Chris Matthews is mostly a matter of the part of the political spectrum they inhabit, and furthermore, it seems to me that it was the right that pioneered this form of political influence before the left started employing it. Chris Matthews (I assume that's the Matthews from your source) has been a pretty consistent Obama supporter for quite a while, so no big surprise that he brings on a guy to fawn over Obama.

Outside of Fox, Rush, and the WSJ the liberals pretty much control the news
