Question Calling All Christians: Dinosaurs? - December 31st, 2010, 02:37 PM

I don't know if this has been discussed in the past or not and I'm too lazy to go perusing for answers. Seems like an issue many Christians overlook!

Anyway, I've often struggled with the idea that God created the universe in six days, as we know them to be, etc., and the Bible, as far as I know, doesn't mention the dinosaurs.

SO:
Where do the dinosaurs come in?! How do they impact the story God's creation? Did they become extinct before Adam showed up? Blah blah blah, you get the idea.

Basically, just talk about them dinos.

One creo told me that the reason there are dinosaur tracks in coal is that the angels had coal bins, and betimes a dino would get in and trample about.

Seriously! Reference available on request.

The Bible does mention dinosaurs.

Job is still part of the Bible. In any case, dragons (Hebrew: tannin) are referenced numerous times throughout the Bible.

For the record, I believe Chinese dragons were real (or at least based on something real), although they don't look like any kind of dinosaur I've ever seen. More like a great big serpent of some sort. I just find it odd that so much of Chinese culture would revolve around an imaginary animal.
