The Righteousness of God in The Gospel -
February 4th, 2012, 08:20 AM
God is righteous in all that he does. if one does not believe that God is righteous in all that he does it will be very difficult to have faith in him and his Son Jesus Christ. Because God is righteous he must deal with the sins of humanity which he has done in the person of Jesus Christ.
To not deal with the sins of humanity would make God unjust and unrighteous.
The question arises why did God allow sin to enter into the world in the first place? God created Adam with a free will so that Adam could choose good or evil. To create a man so that he could not choose good or evil or to choose good only would make God unjust.
God did not create any mindless, programed robots.
All that God does he does for his own glory. Adam by his own free will chose to sin. God could have destroyed Adam, that would have made God unjust. Instead he provides Adam with a savior he did that because he is merciful, just and righteous. Now Adam can choose to be saved or not to be saved. The choice again belongs to Adam. Whether Adam chooses to be saved or not to be saved is what Adam has choosen.
God has done his part in providing Adam with a savior and remains righteous, just, and merciful.
The Gospel is a declaration of the righteousness of God. Because Adam has sinned God in his infinite mercy and righteousnes must provide Adam with a savior. To not do so would make God unrighteous, unjust and unmerciful.
God in the person of Jesus Christ clothes himself in human flesh and becomes one with us, but not one of us. As the new Adam and representative of the human race he comes into the world to put the old Adam to death.
According to God's Holy Law, "The soul that sins must die."
God had to put Adam to death. If he had not put Adam to death he would not have been righteous and just. When Christ died on the cross all of humanity died with him. This is what Paul meant when he said, "I have been crucified with Christ" Our old Adamic nature is dead in Jesus Christ.
Religion is man's attempt to resurrect and re-habilitate the old dead Adam.
When Jesus Christ came out of Joseph's new tomb the new Adam and the new humanity came out with him. The old Adam is still dead and buried. All who are "In Christ" are now new creations and are part of the new world order.
Jesus Christ as the new Adam and representative of the human race has offered to God the Father a life of perfect obedience to his law, he did this in our name and on our behalf, just like we did it ourselves. The voice from heaven said, "This is my Son in whom I am well pleased." This is the life that justifies us.
When God looks at us all that he can see is the righteous life of Jesus Christ.
God in his righteousness, justice and mercy has done all that he can do to redeem fallen humanity and still remain righteous and just. If any one is lost and goes to hell it will not be because God did not provide salvation for them. It will be because they have refused the salvation that has been provided for them, they have condemned themselves.
pateism god is unjust, he punishes people for their sins, that he supposedly had punished christ for.
Rom 2:28-29
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
The Gospel I am presnting is the Gospel of the True God, which made the Heavens and Earth..
Rom 2:28-29

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Robert, can see from several of your posts that we should get along just fine! Nice way to explain the whole business.
I see you have picked up something in this thread. Curious, isn't it, how so many that don't even claim Christianity seem to post in Christian forums.....and here I thought the rule was stated, "This forum is exclusively for those who consider themselves Christian and consider the Bible to be the inspired word of God." Curious.....

There is a separate Forum that is exclusively for Christians. It is at the top of the Forum page.
Trouble is everybody thinks that they are Christians.

Yeah, I caught that. Know what you mean, too. Though, in my experience, some claim Christianity when it suits them, and deny it at other times. Two quite large cults do that regularly.

God's mark identifies who is a Christian and who isn't. The mark of God is the Holy Spirit. Jesus refered to it as the Spirit of truth, John 15:26.

The Holy Spirit would never say that Christ died for millions to save them and they still wind up in hell, neither would He inspire someone to write that God rescinded on His Imputation of the Sins of those Christ died for, and return them back to those who do not accept Jesus.

The Gospel of pateism teaches a unjust god, a god who supposedly already ounished sin in the ones he loved in christ, thus obtaining justice, but if they do not meet a certain obligation, he rescinds his justice from their saviour and charges them with the sins again, but this time they will be punished forever ! what a unjust god..what a terrible gospel !

The important thing is the rhythm. Always have rhythm in your shaking. Now a Manhattan you shake to fox-trot time, a Bronx to two-step time, a dry martini you always shake to waltz time.
