My life is very boring. Can you please post in this thread to make my life less boring?
Sure, no problem.
Oh... To make it less boring? No.

Well, I have insomnia. That is more annoying than boring! I volunteer at the church on Tuesday so I ought to be sleeping!

List all the figurative references, types, shadows, similitudes, allegories, up to the cross concerning that will, that should keep you busy.
Yup, I kind of suspected that one. I guess you did not get the tongue and cheek aspect of it all did you?
You just could not help but see this as an opportunity to get in another of your YEC jabs, could ya?
Bravo man! I bet you are a blast at parties.
I actually think a more interesting approach would be to get you to list all your denials of the reality of all those figurative references, types, shadows, similitudes, allegories, up to the cross, so that you can keep your oh so exciting life.

I just thought the comment was rather bland and ill intentioned. But I have been wrong before. Going over this sort of stuff with some people is getting real boring as well.

Same here. I am only good at parties for about an hour and a half. Then I generally just want to get out of there. Unless of course it is a real good party.

You hit the nail on the head. I had insomnia last night.
Plus since I moved back to CT to take care of my mother things have changed. I'm not out scuba diving, fishing, working on boats... Now I am home 23 hours a day, making sure she eats and takes care of herself. I even found a work from home job. Which is good in some ways. I am sure this feeling will go away once spring gets here.

23 hours a day, every day of the week?
Can you find someone to come stay with your mom so you can get out a few times a week?

Well, I exaggerated a little. We have a companions and homemakers helper that comes over 3 times a week right now. This is during some of my working hours. I plan to increase coverage as I advance in my new career path.
On the lighter side my mom seems to keep hitting that emergency alert button. The alarm goes off, then they call to see if she is ok. That certainly seems to take a little boredom away.

Well, I'm glad to hear it. We've had similar situations in the family, and I know how important it is for caregivers to get respite.
Sometimes the burden becomes too much and the caregiver needs care.

Been through that with my mom's home security system. I was the backup contact for the security firm to call, and yes, those were some fun times.
