"You can't judge me!"
By the very statement, "you can't judge me", one is both accusing and judging ;-(
i am so tired of hearing the catholics, christians and indeed all the religious, as well as athiests, all liken unto parrots continually sounding their rallying cry of "you can't judge me" ;-(
Question?
When one declares a certain behavior or thing or ? to be wrong, not right; bad, not good; of 'd'evil, not "Our Father"; etc.......
Is that judgment? or discernment?
Apart from The ONE and Only True Living GOD, Father(Creator) of ALL, there is only One with authority to judge, The Messiah, and those who have a relationship with Him(The Faithful) have received of the "strong meat" that allows them "by reason of use to have their senses exercised in the discernment of that which is good and that which is evil."
And discernment is not judgment!
Simply, apart from discernment there can be no "free will(choice)", and sadly those who do not "exercise their senses in discernment" become but puppets manipulated by "the god of this world", he who is "the father of lies", "d"evil spirit that rules over this wicked world and it's systems of religion ;-(
So what is it that causes one who is the receiver of another's discernment to immediately declare "you can't judge me!"?
Most certainly such is not of "a good conscience and Faith unfeigned".......
So Truth IS, it is their own conscience that is judging them!
So it is, that today the "i'm ok, you're ok" philosophy rules in that which calls itself 'christianity" ;-(
Yet there is Hope!
For Miracles do happen.......
Hope for the living(Created of Our Father) not the systems of religion, for they are but the product of mankind's "imag"ination. Hope is there would be those who receive "a love of The Truth" for they will "exercise their senses in the discernment of that which is good and that which is evil(not good)".
................"religion" is anti-messiah................
"Come out from among them and be separate!"
..............For The Faithful ARE Family..............
Most certainly am sad for all liken unto you have not "exercised their senses in the discernment of that which is Good(of GOD), and that which is evil(of the father of lies)" ;-(

"Come out from among them and be separate!"

Yes, amongst Family, however take care for religion is not Family!
And as for me i prefer The Spirit that speaks The Truth of "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged, and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again."
One most certainly can discern and declare error, yet The Call for repentance, rejoices against judgment!
Most believe that, because i believe religion to be of "the father of lies", i judge them ;-(
Not i, it is their own conscience speaking to them ;-(
My discernment concerning religion an such is followed by The Call of GOD to:
"Come Out of her, MY people!"
The Call to repentance, not judgment, for judgment will come soon enuf!

Do you realize that when you type ;-( it looks like a grumpy curmudgeon, not a sad face, which would be :-( or :( or ?
James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Your opinion, however, the ; to me indicates a tear shed for those who have not experienced The Miracle that is receiving "a love of The Truth" ;-(

Oh, I see. I think the problem is that ;-( has the left eye pointing up, which indicates a slanted eye (anger). On the other hand, )-; has the right eye pointing down, which looks like a tear. Compare the two faces below.
;-( looks like the face on the right. )-; looks like the one on the left.

Certainly you don't want to judge hypocritically. You don't want to rush to judgment, but after you have removed the tree stump from your own eye, you can see clearly to remove the speck of sawdust from your brothers eye.

Discernment is what we do regarding our own behavior. Judgement is what we impose on others. We should not judge but must discern. A Christian can say, "If I do this thing I will be commiting a sin." " A Christian should not say, "If you do this thing then you are commiting a sin."
In fact we can never really know what consitutes "sin" for another. Sin is knowingly doing what we believe to be contrary to what is right behavior. It is essentially a subjective act.

Hi Sealeaf, that sounds like good advice, but did the apostles follow it? And notice that many people deny their own self-discernment. A wise judgement from someone else may shake them out of their denial.

We are to "exhort" one another to live good Christian lives.
Exhort: (v. t.) To incite by words or advice; to animate or urge by arguments, as to a good deed or laudable conduct; to address exhortation to; to urge strongly; hence, to advise, warn, or caution
"Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more" (1 Thessalonians 4:1).

I think we would all be better off spending more time casting the beam out of our own eyes first. And, i am not accountable to God for what you do, only what i do. You have to answer for yourself and i for me.
