When is Passover? -
April 7th, 2012, 11:05 AM
After looking at a calendar and seeing Passover begins on April 6th at evening, I decided to do an internet search since that doesn't tell me which day is the holy day sabbath to start off the feast of Unleavened Bread. I wanted to know which day on the Hebrew calendar corresponds to our Friday evening.
I found a site that says this year Pesach is from April 6 - April 14th.
And, that the celebration/holiday begins with two days of no work and ends with two days of no work.
This is curious to me, because I only see in the scriptures one day of no work at the beginning and concluding of the feast of Unleavened Bread.
Exodus 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
Exodus 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
Exodus 12:16 And in the first day [there shall be] an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save [that] which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
Exodus 12:17 And ye shall observe [the feast of] unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
Exodus 12:18 In the first [month], on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
Exodus 12:19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
Exodus 12:20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
Exodus 12:21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
Exodus 12:22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip [it] in the blood that [is] in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that [is] in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
Exodus 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite [you].
Exodus 12:24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
Leviticus 23:5 In the fourteenth [day] of the first month at even [is] the LORD'S passover.
Leviticus 23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month [is] the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
Leviticus 23:7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
Deuteronomy 16:8 Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day [shall be] a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work [therein].
Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV) And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
Deuteronomy 10:13 (KJV) To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

There is no such thing as Passover today. Passover ended when Jesus kept the Passover, and then washed the Apostles feet, and then sat back down to the Lord's Supper!! - That Supper lasted until the end of the Apostles Time. That same "Supper Event" became the Eternal "Wedding Feast", which is now in the Day of Rest, which is also Eternal, because there is TIME NO MORE!! - You all haven't heard that, or you choose to ignore it!! - Whichever, is most foolish!!

---Gal. 4:16.

From Judiism 101.
But remember the Jewish calendar is lunar so the 15th of Nissan will not usually fall on April 6th.
I hope this is what you are looking for.

Is the Passover on the 14th of the month Abib?

It looks like both names are used for the first month. Not sure of the history of the double usage. Esther 3:7

Passover is the same as the day God Created the Light and divided it, Adam was put out of the Garden, Noah opened the Ark, Moses crossed the Red Sea, Joshua went into Canaan, Pentecost, Christ’s birth, Christ’s death, the Temple fell in AD70, and the Wedding Feast NOW, the Day of the LORD, - TODAY, THE DAY OF REST!!
About April 10th
I think I have that right!!

I'm not sure of what you are saying.
What are you saying is "about April 10th"?
Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV) And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
Deuteronomy 10:13 (KJV) To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
There's a difference between the Jewish calendar, and the Roman calendar!! -- 360 days to 365 days!! - You figure it out closer if you must know such nonsense!!!

1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.

The month of Abib is the month that the barley becomes green (abib). Barley becomes green when it is ripe, and the month of Abib begins when the barley is green on the new moon.
Counting 14 periods of daylight (days) from the start of the month will bring you to the Passover, which is held at the end of the 14th period of daylight. The Feast of unleavened bread begins with the Passover at the end of the 14th period of daylight, and lasts until the end of the 21st period of daylight. Both the 15th period of daylight and the 21st period of daylight are holy convocations and no work is to be done on those days.
There will be a regular weekly seventh day Sabbath during one of the seven periods of daylight from the 15th to the 21st, and the regular first day of the week following that Sabbath is the feast of firstfruits and the beginning of the counting of days until Shavout (Feast of weeks or Pentecost).
The 15th period of daylight was on 4/7/2012.
The Jewish rabbis have increased holy convocations of the first and last days of the feast of unleavened bread by an extra day for people in the Diaspora so they will be sure to observe it on the right day, but for people in Israel the holy convocations are only one day long each.
