Because you shouldn't have to claim it... your actions should bear that out.
Continued claiming, infers that even you aren't sure its the truth.
For me.. a 'true church' is what that when you walk in, it is evident that the Holy Spirit is in its midst.
When I walk in most Catholic churches (for example), what I feel is sterility... I can sense the oppression of the members... they seem worried and concerned that they do and say the right thing and appear to be good Catholics in front of their priest.
Another issue is what Paul was concerned with when he stopped baptizing people. he didn't want people to brag that they were of "Paul" or of "Peter", etc.... there is a lot of wisdom in his words. Boasting that one was "Roman Catholic" would be something that he would oppose.
