Since this thread is long, here's what happened for those who don't want to read it all - the Christians who answered gave an overwhelming "yes" to the question.

Joshua killed many infants with the sword because God told him to. I see that almost everyone on this board loves that that happened, and thinks that it was a 100% good and 0% evil act.



So if the God of Joshua told you to slit a baby's throat, would you?

Yes or no? Why or why not?

If you have answered "yes" to this, tell me how you know God is not hardening your heart as he did Pharaoh, or that you are not one of the people being discussed in 2 Thessalonians 2:11 whom God tricks? You NEED to be able to explain that before you slit the babies throat, because according the the bible the mere fact that God has convinced you to do it doesn't automatically make it the right thing to do and you may be punished for doing it by God himself! God who in Isaiah 45:7 admits "I do create evil".

I try to be careful here because war is hard to talk about for our vets and I don't want to unecessarily drag them through garbage just for a curiosity. So your answer is "No, I would tell God he was evil". If your answer was anything else, you would have stated it clearly already without hesitation, this is not like being asked if you are going to go to the movies on Saturday.

And hiding behind Vets to cover your own cowardice in not being able to answer a question, that doesn't work for you all the time, or at least not this time.

No. I recommend that we be careful and responsible. You and CN are strange. I told him I'd respond to a PM. Apparently meeting halfway doesn't works so I told him none of his business then. Why does it always have to be your way or the highway? Why wouldn't a careful and responsible handling of sensitive material be encouraged. Why "wouldn't" we want to be sensitive?
