I wish I had the resources to Home School my children. I could use the 3 hours a night I now spend with them de-programming them of the dribble passed on by those seeking followers in public schools passing as teachers on much better projects like being a dad.....
Teach them skelotons how to dance, someone will be kicking down the closet door.
They didn't say anything. What's the FSTDT anyway? It looks like a gay site.

Bush a liberal? This is a no-brainer! We will not take him, so don't try to shove him off on us. If Bu$h stood on his head and told every passerby that he's gay, we liberals would just make him become a log cabin republican.
Bush is a pro-abort, pro-fag. The only good thing he's got going for him is that he's pro-terrorist killing.

Not anymore disgusting than my lifestyle or yours.
Uh, yes it is.

How can Bu$h be pro-fag? He wanted a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
Next thing you know people will be saying that he's against homosexuality because he doesn't support gay dental benefits. Bush should support the recriminalization of homosexuality. That's a much more worthy endeavor.

I can understand calling it a sickness, not allowing them to marry, but WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE NEED TO CRIMINALIZE IT??? If that is not crazy, then Noah Webster lied to us.
It doesn't completely have to do with religion. But I'll let the homeschool experts handle this.
If they want to jump in that is
Homeschooling is a largely non-secular movement. Religiosos jumped on the band wagon, and if I were one of them I certainly would have, too. It's logical, if you're religious, to not want your kids to be raised by other people. The best way to start learning about homeschooling/unschooling and the people doing it is to start reading Grace Llewelyn, then John Holt, and Home Education Magazine (this mag. is carried at my public library -I avoid places like barns'nnoble although they do have a lot of homeschooling books- but it's also online).
Schools as we know them were invented in Prussia. Their *stated purpose* was to create employees. Because of the Industrial Revolution, mass schooling was instituted in America, too. It was a part of the fabric of society by 1900. The notion that schools are needed for growth and learning was snake oil sold by Horace Mann et al. My brains want to flick out both ears at the sheer enormity of the assumption that ppl. today live under; that schools are a normal thing, indispensible, always were and always will be. It is a real testament to how deeply you can install a false reality in folks. They'll beat their breasts and cry hot tears and demand nay sayers be jailed and/or hanged in defense the validity of their notions about reality.
I won't send my kids to school because spending your entire childhood being told what to think and when to think it is destructive. It creates ghouls - but a pyramid scheme needs ghouls.

You only have to be supportive. You don't need a degree for that. You don't need to be rich, either, but I wouldn't mind sending my kids, if they wanted to, to these kinds of schools: http://www.sudval.com
