Media Fast - January 1st, 2006, 08:46 AM
I have begun the Media Fast. I will not partake in any new media in 2006. Read all about it at my blog, http://mediafast.blogspot.com

I've been practicing for the past month, and now the real thing begins. I will not voluntarily search out new news, music, movies, newspapers, magazines, online reports, blogs or anything like that.

Everything I post at the blog will be what others have given me. They each have a profile so that you can see how and if the news gets filtered before it gets to me. It will also be interesting to see what news they thought was valuable to tell me.

Looking forward to your comments over there.

If I do see headlines and other news stories here, it's ok. I just won't do any further research. I will post only what I've seen.

Example: I read today at TheologyOnline that the United States is possibly preparing to attack Iran.

However, I will not go out of my way to find news here.

When I post something at the blog that I've read here at the forums, I will link directly to the TOL post and that person's TOL profile. It will make an interesting mx with the regular news I post from people I meet in person each day.

PureX, I'm hoping to prove that everyone puts a spin on the news, conservatives and liberals alike. More than anything, it will be a fun experiment that could turn out a number of ways.
