Taxidermy! - December 13th, 2007, 03:13 PM

Is anybody out there a taxidermist? I have a loon in the freezer (no jokes please ) that I hope to get to soon. I found it freshly dead on the shore last fall. Should I be worried about botulism? I plan to glove until the skin's tanned and wear a mask while defatting. Should I take other precautions? All the info I can find wrt botulism indicates that its path of introduction is ingestion.
