There was a conspiracy. By militant Islam, to draw the US into a long term war they think we won't fight. Just as Germany had Japan attack us so they could take Europe, Bin Laden believed that Americans have no resolve. It turns out, many don't. He thought they would back away when they begin the assult on Jerusalem.

That is their end of objective. They weren't counting on George W Bush, and thankfully his stubborness to not quit a long drawn out guerilla war that is not popular at home.

First there was a conspiracy to establish hegemony in the Middle East by befriending the Saudis enough to allow us to build missle bases all over into the Arab equivalent of Bob Jones University or the Vatican.

Then the other conspiracies followed:

1. The conspiracy by a branch of Saudi militants to hijack planes and fly them into our buildings--especially the ones that symbolized our economic and military power.
2. And then maybe a consipiracy to use that crime to scare us all enough to get distracted so it would be easier for some to smokescreen an attack on Iraq. (An attack on IRAQ !!!)
3. And then another on-going conspiracy to re-frame the Iraq insurgency as a pre-emptive offensive move.
4. And finally, a conspiracy to do a rightwing political makeover to cover up an appalling military blunder and turn it into a statement on political and moral resolve.

In the spirit of Orwell's 1984, certain linguistic definitions had to be invented so the popularion would be sufficiently bewildered and indoctrinated to accompany what was once a great and powerful country which was a beacon of fairness and freedom for all down through the corridors of hell.

The DEVIL's DICTIONARY:

"Surge" really means GROUND ENTRENCHMENT, DEFENSIVE PARTIONING and AERIAL BOMBING.

"Liberate" really means OCCUPY.

"Terrorist" then becomes ANYONE WHO WE DEFINE AS OUR OPPOSITION.

"Interrogation" is TORTURE.

"Victory" can then become PERPETUAL WAR for PERPETUAL PEACE.

Because he wasn't behind it. Do you think it was just an honest mistake that our government failed to charge bin Laden with the greatest terrorist attack of the past century on the FBI's most wanted list? Heck, numerous supposed 9/11 hijackers are STILL ALIVE, but you'll never hear our media bring that to your attention.

CNN didn't even have the nerve to run the "correction" as a headline story...it was hidden inside a link to a completely different story.

Don't blindly accept what your governments says is true. Question it. Research it. Find out for yourself.
