Like I said, you will find out soon enough who are good conversationalists and who are not.

My definition of a good conversationalist may differ from yours, SOD. I am not trying to tell you who to interact with necessarily, just saying there are some here who are better at conversing than others.

I find it rather amusing that I am labeled as a "trouble maker". I guess that would be a compliment at TOL.

Hi Nang

Lucy may have mislabeled you and AMR as “hypers”, but I know you can relate to what she has been through on this forum.

Like you, she got the full arsenal from Sozo, John W, Nick M, Lighthouse, Butterfly, and others. I followed many of the threads, and couldn’t believe what some of these guys said to her.

Anyway, I find her and her posts an asset for TOL. You may not like her stance on Calvinism, but you have to admit that Calvinists like Beloved57 do give you guys a black eye at times on TOL.

I'm not going to comment on the different doctrinal beliefs. I just don't understand the arguing about scripture. The need to be right. The need to be more 'Biblical' than you. The need to show that I am smarter and closer to God than you.

Geeze..get over yourselves. Really.



As for the hatred and name calling etc, well I have a theory.....

It gives them a thrill. A small little thrill, for just a minute. For that small space of time, they are smarter than you, badder than you, they know the truth and you don't and I'm gonna smack you around with it, cause it makes me feel good about myself...for just a minute.

It gives them a small thrill to post online, things that would otherwise get them a punch in the face.

And then, when they have been rude and hateful, they get pats on the back from other people who do the same thing.

Personally, I think it's pretty pathetic.

I did not say that he was.... he is more of an "other" guy. Not too sure he hasn't simply developed his own theology by pulling from various theologies bits and pieces he likes while rejecting others he does not like.
