And yet, they don't live there.
If it is such a great place, why did they all move away? I find that so curious.
I liked the city myself when I visited some years ago.

When I get back to the States, I'm moving to Alaska.
On the two issues I care about (privacy rights and gun rights) Alaska is way above average.

I haven't been around enough to choose the best city in the world. I am however partial to Miami. I know many people do not like it at all. Crime being one reason and the other being the temperatures. It is hot, sunny and humid...which I love. It also gets points for culture and proximity to the beach.
As for small towns, I really loved the Moab, UT area. It's absolutely beautiful and it's quiet (during the slow season anyway).
I believe that the Universe is one being, all its parts are different expressions of the same energy,
and they are all in communication with each other, therefore parts of one organic whole.
This whole is in all its parts so beautiful, and is felt by me to be so intensely in earnest, that I am compelled to love it and to think of it as divine

I'd rather freeze as a free man than lack privacy or gun rights.

Negative. Texas is the best state ever. IF I ever was to permanently move my family to another state for some awful reason, it would be to Wyoming, and then Alaska.
