Men aren't bad for being (in general) the types who like to detour and shape their world around them, it's what they do best, actually, but it can turn against them and their friends when it becomes a power struggle.

I think communism is one big power struggle fest, and it discourages productivity by demoralizing people who are steered away from their inner goals and visions, which is why it's so destructive. You can rule from the barrel of a gun, but what is created is a wasteland of lost productivity and happiness.

For men to be happy they need personal empowerment and self-actualization combined with service. When men rule themselves through a heroic vision-oriented benevolent spirit, rather than blind side-winding through random objectives, they really go a lot farther with all that energy. I love that men are full of energy and vitality, but they (generally) don't have the patience for constant maternal nurturing, by and large, which is why they generally are less well suited to organizing and directing community feeding and so forth.

For community organization to be really good it has to be very free and egalitarian. You can't set people as overlords of each others personal lives and choices. Choices already come packed with lessons and consequences. It's better to let things play out than always meddling forcefully. Sure, there is a price to pay for freedom, but freedom is priceless anyway.

We need to trust one another enough to come together and establish reasonable objectives for community survival and prosperity rather than always fending distrustfully for ourselves.
