I'm not. Saving faith comes before works, and works are just a reflection of one's faith.

Your graphs are impressive but you must know that all civilian casualties are directly or indirectly caused by Bush's instigated reaction to 9-11.

Which was for not enough reason. So then all casualties are a result of the war we made with them.
Interestingly, the rhetoric about bringing 'democracy' is no longer touted
here. From the beginning only the Shiites were given power over the Sunnis.

Is there any disagreement that the original Church was composed entirely of Torah observant Jews until Cornelius's conversion?
Is there any disagreement that the Messianic prophecies in the Tanakh ("OT") completely and clearly state that the Moshiach will bring Israel back to the Law away from deviance?

Well a hard working rider on the range may have a better sense of right and wrong and more common sense. Perhaps less false ego, meaning the need to rationalise mental baloney.

Then you have it right, one cannot build the stairway to heaven. No work is able to save your soul, for only being in Christ leads to salvation.

So many get this mixed up, partly because they misread James!

Then there is a part where men have made claims, which should have been avoided. It is really sad, when one in high cleric office, has no salvation, then believes it cannot be felt, but must be known by the human mind. Jesus did not confirm little children because they had great intellect, only an open heart.

Be humble , it is so hard for some to do, living in a world where thinking is highly valued. I can see where simple hard working persons may have some advantage, to like themselves for who they are, and being so, more apt to humble themselves to faith, rather than defensive thought?

So, what?

believe it!

Come out, before it is too late.
You have made some good points and I see you moving closer. If you would consider a sister in Christ? Faith comes first, it is what makes our hearts ready to embrace Christ and this leads to Grace.

You may love in a real way, sure, yet the greatest love comes after Grace. Kat

You are not showing works to prove you have faith.

It is very obvious, friend. God gave me discernment which or who are truthful or not.

Get real. We are not responsible for Muslim suicide attacks against their own people, whatever their twisted reasons are. If a school kid fights back against a bully, is he then responsible for the bully getting angry?

I suppose that depends on what you mean by Law. Certainly the first Christians came from among the Jewish people. They learned from Christ what the Law really was for - the intent and spirit behind it. The ceremonial laws have been fulfilled, and the laws which were already based on moral principles have been retained as the principles they were based on.

Perhaps He did, but it's no good if you don't exercise it with wisdom, instead of knee-jerk reactions and prejudice.

You judge me because you disagree with something I said. You're not the first one we've seen on this board who considers all dissenters to be heretics.

Perhaps I'm being a too argumentative. If you have something you think I need to hear, speak on.

The problem with that is that there's no way for you to catch yourself or be taught otherwise if you're wrong.

And you know you can be wrong...right?

Because we are fallen, because we are sinful. Contrary to the heresy of TOL, living in sin while pretending that you are in Christ is not salvation, it is psychosis, and it exists in both secular and religious spheres alike.

The Bible is quite clear that there is a marriage covenant between God and us, and that our (constant) response is therefore necessary. One can label themselves "saved" all they like, but that voice unsurprisingly comes across as shrill.

"If a sheerly linguistic version of the gospel could be concocted, it would merely so be no longer the gospel. In the Lutheran Reformation’s understanding, which we believe in this matter to be correct, the sacraments make the inalienable externality of the gospel message and therefore are necessary to the authenticity of that message." (Christian Dogmatics [1984], II:302-303 as cited in Pontifications)

Ask GodRulzRandomThoughts if that's true (Ge 5:3; Job 15:14; 25:4; Ps 51:5).

Where I'd say what some call obligation I see as an inevitable labor of love.

Perhaps. And perhaps mostly to the ears of the prodigal son's brother.
