That was the name of Eddie Murphy's SNL character.
Did you really just report that? alaCarteWarrior
I realize he's fellow Libertarian Ralphie, but do you realize, he promotes cigarette smoking!!! (aCW waits for Ralphie to get himself up off the floor).
In any event, why don't you and your new "friend" (but will zeus get jealous?), take your cigarette fetish elsewhere, this topic is about how legalizing recreational drugs would have saved Whitney Houston.
"All societies of men must be governed in some way or other... Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled, either by a power within them, or by a power without them; either by the Word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible, or by the bayonet."
I don't live in the Ozarks or the Appalachians, you American-hating bigot.

Nevermind, you obviously have a license to sin on TOL.

You've been challenged TOL wonderboy. Put up or shut up.

Driving under the influence of alcohol isn't. Why do you suppose that is BB? Hey, maybe it's the car's fault for all associated casualties right?
Quote:
All of those deaths are to the drinker, not a bystander. Please try to stay focused on your own point.
Nah, it was focused enough. If you drink and drive you're being an irresponsible plank. Pretty much like subjecting others to seond hand smoke....

Hey, lets sue General Motors then....

Murder is a premeditated conscious act regardless. Driving under the influence of a drug which is proven to impair reactions, concentration and focus is irresponsible. Not comparable.
Pfftttttt ... BB is an old timer on TOL. You have no authority to order him or anyone else to shut up.
I just did in the way of a challenge. Let's see if Willy Billy Jim Bob (i.e. "TOL old timer") takes me up on it.

God is not discoverable or demonstrable by purely scientific means, unfortunately for the scientifically minded. But that really proves nothing. It simply means that the wrong instruments are being used for the job. ~John Bertram Phillips

These comments have yet to be addressed:

Oh where oh where did Billy Bob go, or where or where can he be?

Right; in order to be pro life and enforce laws against abortion, I'd also have to be for a Christian theocracy (an oxymoron if there ever was one, since you can't force Christianity on anyone).
Round up your new friend Ralphie (not to be confused with your pro homosexual friend zeus) and come visit me in the Libertarian thread or the Founding Fathers thread.
Safety in numbers ya know.

The difference is, without a prescription, it is ILLEGAL to use prescription drugs which means that individuals who are abusing drugs have a better likelihood of being forced into some kind of treatment.
Not really, you can buy scripts off the street these days thanks to the internet and to dirty docs and a script addict can always go to multiple doctors for them.
Quote:
When I say treatment, I am speaking of either rehab or jail ... whatever it takes to get the poison out of their system.
The addict doesnt stop untill they want to stop.
Quote:
There is no good reason to allow individuals to utilize high risk prescription drugs without being monitored by their physician and pharmacist.
It does no good for the addict - they get it one way or another - legalizing it just makes it easier and would make more addicts quicker.
