There seems to be an abundant amount of people around here who have little or no sense of humor. I could name them but for what possible reason? Levity is not their "forte." Crankiness and lack of frivolity rule the day among these people. (you know who you are.) They've forgotten how to, not take themselves and their opinions so serious. Some are ready to pounce on their fellow poster at the slightest provocation and grind them into powder. (That gives you an idea who I'm talking about.)
Some seem bitter and antagonistic towards those who seek to reach out and offer the handshake of good fellowship and camaraderie. Goodwill is stifled by "Curmudgeon" type behavior. Everyone should take responsibility and seek to demonstrate unrestrained civility. Remember, a nice word goes further than a punch in the face or a crack on the head with a ball-peen hammer...

Many people on TOL have been shown the face of evil GM, but continue to promote or condone it. It's hard to smile at them and give them a nice word. We hope that they change and accept God's word, all the while having that ball peen hammer up our sleeves just in case they don't.
You made me laugh with that last line there!! Excellent post my friend...

Cultural W made a lot of sense. There are several different kinds of humor and not all people like the same humor. I personally think the "Marx Brothers” were pure genius and hold up well today. Being a product of my time, I enjoyed "Red Skelton." I believe "All in the family" was the greatest and funniest sit-com ever. It also holds up to this day’s audience...Just to name a few...
How did Gerald come into this?
And how does everyone seem to know him?
Do I need to go on a past post hunt to know something about him?
sheesh
Gerald's been a fixture around here for years. He's a barrel of laughs if you don't take him too seriously. He pretends to be a crusty old codger, but I believe he's got more heart than he lets on.

There are a few people around here that like to call fellow posters, "whiners." I say, what’s wrong with whining about others who can't seem to comprehend simple truth are, arrogant, angry, antagonistic, and pretentious know it all's? This is all part of the "human comedy."
Whining has it's time and place. I think whining has a positive side to it. Contrary to what some would have you believe, whining is able to; call attention to a problem that was somewhat invisible before the whining began. Some people need to be "whined" against. Others need to be, "whined and dined!!" Still others, need to stop calling their fellow posters whiners, because, as I stated, whining can play a part in bringing out problems that exist.
In conclusion, "whining" is an acceptable form of self expression!!
