STP,
Galatians 3:17-19 tells us the law was added to the covenant with Abraham 430 years after it was confirmed.
Gal. 3:19 tells us it was added till the seed should come to whom the promise was made.
Hebrews 8:6, 9:15, and 12:24 tell us that, by the time that book was written, Christ was, already, mediating a new covenant that was better than the one that was being mediated in the tabernacle that was standing at that time.
Jesus Christ showed His disciples how to follow God as a dear child.
Jesus Christ sent His disciples to teach the nations how to follow God as dear children.
Following God as a dear child will teach you all the theology you need.
The terms which Paul used as he explained the gospel as the news that the promus to Abraham was kept in Christ making it possible for the Gentiles/heathen/nations to receive the promise of the Spirit

I understand. But, why do you call the covenant with Abraham the "old" covenant? The covenant between God and the children of Israel through Moses is the one which becomes "old".
1. Land forever. Gen 17:8 (KJV)
2. City FROM heaven. Rev 21:2 (KJV)
3. Heavenly places. Eph 2:6-7(KJV)
Don't mix them, leavening the whole household of God. Luke 13:21 (KJV)
Peter echoed the terms which Paul used as he explained the gospel as the news that the promise to Abraham was kept in Christ making it possible for the Gentiles/heathen/nations to receive the promise of the Spirit.
In Acts 2:33-39, Peter declared that Christ had received the promise of the Holy Ghost from the Father.
Also, Peter told his audience that they could receive the gift of the Holy Ghost "for the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call". By using the phrase "as many as the Lord our God shall call", Peter includes the nations/Gentiles/heathen for those who came to Christ did so because God called them. See 1Corinthians 1:9, Ep. 4:4, Col. 3:15, and 2 The 2:13-14.

Jer.,
I'm writing from phone that's hard to use. I'm sorry if my writing reflects techno tension.
The law, itself, is not of faith. Remember that, when the Lord gave the law to Moses, the children of Israel would not draw near in spite of the Lord's invitation.
In other words, what was received at Sinai came by a lack of faith. See Heb. 12:18-22 & De 5:23-30.
Those who live by faith sre not like those who drew back. (See Heb. 10:38-39.) Rather, we are Hebrews 4:16 people.
if yer doin all dat from a cell phone your doing pretty darn good IMHO.
I can't even figure out how to dial one of dem der things to make calls.
I can imagine pimpin the gospel ain't easy
that's the "I feel like a hip hop mogul because I saved money on my cell phone service" cigar.
