A few things are flat wrong. Would you like to know which? Here is a hint. Faith is a gift.
To be sure, faith is a gift through grace. However, don't you believe that one has to freely accept the gift? Isn't that free act of the will a work that inaugurates salvation in your view?

To me basic Christianity means not a specific dogma or belief system but rather doing what Christ demanded: tend the sick, visit the prisoners, feed the hungry, help the widows and orphans, house the homeless, support the marginalized, help the helpless the hopeless and the hapless.
Exhibit certain attributes: love, joy, peace, patience, meekness, etc

"love one another."

"Love one another" Jesus Christ
"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death." Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., April 4, 1967
"....we are all his children" St. Paul, Acts 17:28

I used to be a Basic Christian but then I became a Psacal Christian. When Pascal died I tried to become a C++ Christian put just didn't have the time to learn it.

Galatians 5:22-23 (New International Version)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

What are my fruits today?
