some poster (can't remember which one) said something once about how

oh, i remember almos the exact words

s/he said "Why do Catholics come here [forums] claiming they are the only true Church" (something like that)

If you knew you were the original

wouldn't you CLAIM to KNOW you were the original???

would u go to a "church" that said "This 'church' can't claim to be the true Church'"?

Because you shouldn't have to claim it... your actions should bear that out.

Continued claiming, infers that even you aren't sure its the truth.

For me.. a 'true church' is what that when you walk in, it is evident that the Holy Spirit is in its midst.

When I walk in most Catholic churches (for example), what I feel is sterility... I can sense the oppression of the members... they seem worried and concerned that they do and say the right thing and appear to be good Catholics in front of their priest.

Another issue is what Paul was concerned with when he stopped baptizing people. he didn't want people to brag that they were of "Paul" or of "Peter", etc.... there is a lot of wisdom in his words. Boasting that one was "Roman Catholic" would be something that he would oppose.

all i have to say is this

you can't see much on the forums... just a bunch of words

so when i a in a real live situation in close proximity, physically, wth people, i will... act accordingly

on the forums... i am left w/ inadequate words

Catholics, the original????

The first "church" was Christian and all Jewish. Paul started his "apostle to the gentiles" mission and almost 400 years later Constatine wanted othodoxy and universal doctrine, that's when the "Catholic Church" was started, after it seperated what existed of Christianity of the time from it's Official religion of the state.

I see you spend a lot of time defending Catholics, why do you think that is?

And....who do you think you're fooling?
