It sounds like you are talking in the present, of Israel. I simply wanted to clarify. Some take the idea that Israel needed to repent and say that because of that they are still in debt and need to repent now. As if there is a collective sin that remains since the time of Christ.
Gentiles need to repent.
Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV) And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
Deuteronomy 10:13 (KJV) To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

Where is there the Greek word for " water " in Acts 22:16 ??
There is no greek word for water here either, but the baptism had to refer to water as it was with Paul.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Act 22:7 And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
Act 22:8 And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
Act 22:9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
Act 22:10 And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.
Act 22:11 And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.
Act 22:12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,
Act 22:13 Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.
Act 22:14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
Act 22:15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
Act 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Now--
Under what covenant did you receive the spirit of truth?
Paul was of the house of Israel who washed His sins away by the Holy Spirit in baptism in water as did they of Acts 2:38.
Act 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
God commands everyman everywhere to repent--
Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Whats the matter Nick M. You have to give neg reps because you refuse/cannot answer the questions.
It sounds like you are talking in the present, of Israel.
I think the literal rendering of Israel on Jacob meant "God's people". So the legal partition of land to the descendants of Jacob isn't "God's people", they were divorced by God.

I would like to understand your perspective better.

I don't know that what you say shows understanding of the argument.
He is saying the first Christians were Jews, if it is established that Pentecost is a (or the first) Christian event in history.
It has been said that the church began at or on Pentecost.

I was being facetious, as there is no such thing as Christian Pentecost, a term which godrulz invented.

This is why they are called "Israeli" and not "Israelite". They are descendants of Jacob, but are not God's people. They were put aside. Perhaps you need to review Acts of the Apostles, as I think I have mentioned to you a few times.

Do you believe the Spirit of God fell on them at Pentecost?
