Even if one came back from the dead you would not believe. You are in love with your religion.
Pentecostalism, Catholicism, Calvinism are all non biblical religions.
There is nothing in the Bible about a group called Pentecostals. How do you take an event, "The day of Pentecost" and make a religion out of it?
It was about the Gospel coming into the world in the power of the Holy Spirit. It was NOT about the Holy Spirit, "The Holy Spirit does NOT speak of himself."
It was an event. God used many various means to get this Gospel into the world. And now we are going to make a religion out of it?
Jesus said that the road to hell is broad, Matthew 7:13. The reason that its broad is because there are so many going there. A 15 lane highway to hell.
Did I tell you that I use to be a Pentecostal?
Terrible experience. Always wondering if God was pleased with me. I was in bondage to the law, just like you.
When I discovered the glorious, liberating, "Historical Gospel" of Jesus Christ all of my religious chains fell off.
I am now God's "free man" in Jesus Christ, basking in the liberating power of his Gospel.
You have no exegetical basis for your nonsense, but simply beg the question. Penty has issues with wrong paradigms. Proof texts out of context are used to support the preconceived idea (eisegesis) rather than exegesis and all relevant verses and right paradigms/principles leading to right conclusions (wrong assumptions lead to wrong conclusions). You need to make an exegetical vs anecdotal case.Your position is rationalism, naturalism, unbelief, not biblical. Sheer eisegesis on your part. You are ignorant of exegesis of Genesis-Revelation. This is not exegesis, just rambling of an unbiblical view. Put the verses in context (go verse by verse) for a proper understanding. I have done it here before, but it would probably be a waste of time with you. Your fundie ignorance/arrogance is ridiculous.
Terrible exegesis/theology. Spiritual gifts are for the Church Age until the return of Christ. Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4 Evangelism, mission, etc. is not divorced from spiritual gifts, power evangelism, miracles, etc.

You throw the baby out with the bathwater because of your myopic, negative, immature experience (you were the problem, not Pentecostalism, or else it was your fringe vs biblical Pentecostalism that was the problem). Exegesis of Scripture (which you are not doing) still trumps your subjective, imperfect, anecdotal experience.
Calvinism or rejecting OSAS can give false vs Spirit-security, so don't pat yourself on the back. Muslims also feel they are liberated, but they are not. Hundreds of millions of Pentecostals also know the freedom and liberating power of the gospel AND the power of the Spirit (you make it either/or vs both/and like Paul did).
Cults like JWs also wrongly quote your proof text to justify their minority wrong views. It is a logical fallacy to think majority is always right, but it is also not always wrong.
Know God and make Him known! (YWAM)
They said: "Where is the God of Elijah?"
I say: "Where are the Elijahs of God?" (Ravenhill "Why Revival Tarries")
Do you ever read your posts godrulz? You sound like a robot
iRobot...
I would not have to sound like one if I was not dealing with robots who cannot think critically and have thick skulls and need to have the same things said over and over because they don't get it.

maybe after 57,000+ posts of the same thing, you would realize that it doesn't work? No?

More straw men...you must have a closet full of skeletons. You have a thinly veiled arrogance. We need conviction and humility, to speak truth in love, not pride. Equally capable, godly believers have said the same for eons while holding divergent views (all cannot be right despite thinking they are).Your relativism is not defensible. Some have a thinly veiled arrogance in their pontifications.
The vast majority of godly Christians have not heard of Penty. The best of conservative, biblical, evangelical scholarship rejects it if they have heard of it. You are like Paul Crouch, who turns sowing a seed for a love gift into the gospel and makes Penty a cult (except you substitute hyper Penty). You must have a defective Acts passage in your Bible to not see this. You wrongly assume that ultraPenty hyper-tongues is the only one that understands biblical grace or experiences the freedom and grace of God in Christ. We are not under your so-called one gospel theory so it is a moot point. It is an insult to the majority of true believers and to the Holy Spirit to say only a handful of modern Penty-types understand the ark and the annointing or experience true liberty. My experience is that you guys are sectish and more legalistic than the rest of us.

I was trying to live the higher Christian life. You know, the one where you don't sin. I just could not cut it, to many sinful, lustful thoughts.
One of the Pentecostal leaders told me that the reason I could not cut it was because I had a demon. The lust demon.
They organized a special service for people like me that could not cut it. There were about five of us there that could not cut it.
The service started with fervent prayer and damning the devil. Three guys came over and started shaking me, all while damning the devil.
I was glad when it was over. Did it help? No, I still have lustful thoughts, but I know now that my lustful thoughts have been dealt with in Jesus Christ.
