Constant bitterness is not spiritually healthy. I would hate to die in my deathbed full of bitterness and then awaken with extreme regret that lived like an A*****E.
We know that Catholics believe in a personal righteousness for salvation, but there does not seem to be any specifs as to WHAT IS REQUIRED.
What does God accept for righteousness? What is required?
Sorry but as they say that dog don't hunt! This is NOT what the Catholic church teaches as you well know or ought to find out. If you are going to challange our faith please allow us the courtesy of challenging what the Church actually teaches. NOT what you say it teaches.
Matt 25:21
Righteous!?
Rom 5:19
We are made Right not declared!

The question is "What is required?"
If you are MADE RIGHT, how many wafers did it take to make you right?
Or how many gallons of grape juice did you have to drink before God said.... "That's good, you are now infused with the virtues of Christ and are justified?"
No one can seem to answer my question as to what is required to be infused and justified. When does God say..."That's good?"

"The very tradition, teaching, & faith of the Catholic Church from the beginning was preached by the Apostles & preserved by the Fathers. On this the Church was founded..." ~ St. Athanasius (4th cent.)

As I said that dog don't hunt! Why?
Rom 5:19 – For just as through the disobedience of one person the many were made sinners, so through the obedience of one the many will be made righteous. (NAB)
We are not just declared righteous. Because of Adam we are not declared sinners, we are made sinners. So it is with our righteousness, we are made righteous. This verse clearly shows a real distinction of our sinfulness from our righteousness. Both are made, not declared. To deny that we are not made righteous is to deny that we are made sinners because of Adam. We are not only called children of God, we are children of God (1 John 3:1).
Your question's here are insulting to Gods Holy Word but I guess you don't realise who you are really insulting. Now you do!

Please show me where it says that " It is WITH OUR righteousness, we are made righteous."
Romans 5:19 says that we are MADE righteous. This is something that we do not posses. It comes from outside of us. The righteousness of Christ is imputed to us. Not infused.
Romans 4:5 says, "But to him that worketh NOT but believes on him that JUSTIFIES THE UNGODLY, his faith is counted for righteousness."
Please show me where it says that " It is WITH OUR righteousness, we are made righteous."
WOW Robert! It is easier for you to make something up.
Watch how Robert cleverly misquotes my OP to change the context of what is actually being said.
"It is WITH OUR righteousness, we are made righteous."
Did I say that? In a word ..NO!
You deliberately left out the word So to change the context Robert!
Why did you do that? Are you that far gone and desperate to make up for a lost thread? Well that is what it looks like anyhow and that's sad.
Now if you care to read again what YOU misquoted Robert it does not make a whole lot of sense when taken in your new context! WHY would we need to be made righteous WITH OUR righteousness? You suggest in your misquote that i say we are already righteous and need to be made righteous again? Sorry that dog don't hunt either Robert and you need to take care when you misquote people. You may end up sounding & feeling ridiculous, like you do now.
What i did say:"So it is with our righteousness, we are MADE righteous." or to put it another way, we are made righteous, so it is with our righteousness.
Once again Robert please challenge me if you wish by properly quoting what i actually say not in your own malicious made up context to score points.

I quoted what you said.
Leaving out "So" did not change the meaning.
Regardless, Were you born after Adam? If you were born after Adam you are a sinner. You were born in sin, Psalm 51:5 and you will die in sin, Romans 3:11,12.
God is not the minister of sin. Jesus Christ is higher than the heavens and is separate from sinners, Hebrews 7:26.
He is not about to infuse sinners with his righteousness.
