Exclusively Christian TheologyThis forum is exclusively for those who consider themselves Christian and consider the Bible to be the inspired word of God.
The problem with this view is that no one is 'just a man'. All of us were made in the image and likeness of God.
True, but only Jesus was given the image spirit of God.
That is what gave him his deity.
Psalm 1 and Job 28:28
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Joh 4:23 "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
No, that's wrong. I don't believe you have any scripture to back that up.
On the other hand, it is we who give God his deity: Psalm 22:3 and the fact that we also worship Jesus is what gives him his deity.
In our minds we can make anything a god, but both yu and I know there is only one REAL GOD.
Jesus was given deity. Do you know of any one else that was given that? Note Below:
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
Col 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things have been created through Him and for Him.
Col 1:17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
Col 2:9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,
No one else received the Spirit image of God.
Or did this idea just pop into your 80 year old gray matter?
See above

Your Trinitarian rendered English verses do not say that Jesus' deity was created.
Keep looking for ways to deny Jesus' deity.....like all the other uni-cult followers...
Why are you putting limits on God?
He can make a mountain fly if he wishes.
Jesus is a MAN with the created image spirit of God in him.
I am beginning to think your an antichrist for you do not believe what the Apostle Paul has recorded.

GOD is uncreated being.
It is impossible to create an uncreated being.
GOD is uncreated being.
It is impossible to create an uncreated being.
It's nonsense.
True, God is uncreated, But Jesus is created.
Jesus is the created image of God.
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;
Heb 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom he also created the worlds.
Heb 1:3 He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
This is a creation. There is only one God. God is spirit. An image spirit of God was in Jesus.

Jesus creates Universe Col. 1.16
oti en autō ektisthē ta panta en tois ouranois kai epi tēs gēs ta orata kai ta aorata eite thronos eite kuriotētes eite archai eite exousiai ta panta di autou kai eis auton ektistai
For by Him all things were created; by that in the heavens and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones, or rulers, or magistrates, or authorities; all things were created through Him and for Him. (Colossians 1.16)
Three separate and distinct primary prepositions are used to describe Jesus’ creative power (i.e. ‘en’, ‘di’, & ‘eis’).
Three separate prepositions were used here to make it crystal clear that three separate modes of operation are in effect at the same time.
In each case, the preposition is flanked by the masculine singular, ‘auto’.
The first instance of ‘auto’ is in the dative singular masculine, indicating that Jesus is the object of the primary preposition, ‘en’, rendered as ‘by’.
The second instance of ‘auto’ is in the genitive singular masculine, indicating that Jesus is in direct possession of the creative act – i.e. He is in complete control of it – and is attached to the preposition ‘dia’ rendered as, ‘through’.
The third instance of ‘auto’ is in the accusative singular masculine, again indicating that Jesus is the direct object of the preposition, ‘eis’, rendered as ‘for’.
Thus, from this Biblical verse alone, creation is By, Through, and For Jesus Christ all at the same time…indicating, yet, again, that He is the Triune creator God of the Universe.
Another thing to point out is the fact that if Christ were just a man, The problem with this view is that no one is 'just a man'. All of us were made in the image and likeness of God.
1. Our being in the image of God refers to our structure, not our qualitative disposition. So your universalising is false. In line with this, you know full well that I mean that, unlike everyone born of Adam, Christ was God.

2. Christ is no longer a man, but a spirit.
Unfortunately you don't have scriptures to back that up. Jesus was clear about the subject: we are all called Gods. You can even go back to Genesis where God himself said 'the man has become like one of us.' Also, I have no idea what you mean by 'structure, not qualitiative disposition'. I doubt that you have any idea either.
Total Misanthropy. Uncertain salvation. Luck of the draw. Irresistible damnation. Persecution of the saints.

No WE are not called Gods. Asaph called them Gods "to whom the word of God came."
First, the word of God did NOT come to you.
Second, Asaph admitted that he was wrong when he said that,

Young's Literal Translation:
I -- I have said, `Gods ye [are], And sons of the Most High -- all of you,
7 BUT as man ye die, and as one of the heads ye fall,
Note that Young's shows Asaph saying, "I--I have said," and not "God has said."
Note that Asaph indicated that he was not saying it now. He said, "I have said (in the past)...."
Note that Asaph NOW SAYS the opposite, "BUT you shall die and fall like men."
