#2 there most closely resembles the biblical rendering of lust. Lecherousness, unhealthy appetite.

Complete selfishness. Not the same thing as strong desire for ones God given mate.

God included adultery in the 10 commandments.

If you are still concerned about Gods thoughts on it, Jesus cleared it right up :

Adultery in the Heart

27 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Jesus is speaking this to men, showing that men were guilty of adultery and went further to clarify, that it happens in their own heart.

Men not following Gods ways - doesnt reflect on God, it reflects on men.

Jesus straightened out a lot of their man made additions to His law.
With that scriputure we then have to further and more importantly narrowly define what "lust" is. The problem with alot of chruchs is they define things in terms of emotions and very broadly. Lust has very specific definitions and does not apply to most men in most situations, even in the case of MB to porn.

Lust goes much deeper than passing glances or getting off to some porn and not thinking twice about it. It involves diliberate actions or thoughts of diliberate actions to bring about an adulterus relationship.

The lack of narrow definintions in modern church IS a big problem. Modern church goes will label anything as sin that they dont like or that disrupt their delicate sensibilities even though they cant prove it explicitly with the bible, they will yell even louder if the bible does not support them because they are yelling without Gods support.

The lack of narrow definition in modern church is helping them along to irrelavance, when people make things up as they go along to burden others then people will not see advantage in attending church.

Which Greek word was used? I believe you will find that it is Greek = moicheuo. Moicheuo means to commit adultery with, have unlawful intercourse with another's wife.

The answer is you stir it up by dwelling upon it in your mind feelings and emotions, which is disobeying the above scripture I posted.

LA
If you dwell upon having sex with your wife, I can guarantee she will be well pleased with it, as will God.

Amen! Hebrews 13:4 4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

No lust in the marriage bed, it is undefiled.

For those who do not understand what undefiled is:

Undefiled: free from stain or blemish.

1 Corinthians 7:4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Being that a man and woman in godly marriage are one, tell me how does one lust against oneself?

I disagree. Show me Scripture and show the original Hebrew or Greek. You want to rely on interpretations of interpretations. Start with the Ten Commandments. Yes one of them is not to commit adultery but notice the tenth which clearly places us as property along with slaves, oxen and anything which is thy neighbors. Do you not know the meaning of this?

You are reading into what it says, instead of reading what it says, just like the scribes and pharisees did.

You are railing against what you believe yourself. Its insanity to watch actually. You complain that women are treated as property, but at the same time insist that is what God wants when its not.
