Blovating, in short, makes a speech or a paper boring. I just listened to an example of it recently. The person could have cut quite a bit of material out of her speech and still have gotten her point across.

When I was very young (late teen early twenties) I used to. I have since discovered it's an exercise in pride which is neither worth my effort nor time.
