You are missing something in this, Bro, He wants you and me to understand and as long as we view Jesus as being God, at this point in time, we will never see it.
Friend, keep in mind that Jesus was a man, he was a sinless man because God is his father. But everyone has a spirit in him, it was that spirit that he received at his baptism that made him a deity. He had to be a man to die for us. But, in effect, he was a created form of God.

I do not believe the trinity doctrine, but I do think Jesus was a created godlike person. But he has a God, the same one we have, his father.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Gal 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.
Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.

Lighthouse brought that to my attention a few years back when I lived by the letter of the law. Now I am free from the law yet its in my heart and I am a keeper of the law by love.

Peace

Yes!

1. "a spirit"?? Whose?

2. Jesus was not made anymore deity by His baptism[s] than those who received the Promise of the Father on the day Pentecost. Baptism are not for proclaiming deity but for evidencing it as a gift of the overflow of the Love of God better known as , Grace.

There are but three manifestations of the Holy Spirit to a believer that Jesus is now responsible for administering. Here: "with", "in", and "upon". That's two: Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:17 (KJV). Jesus was "with" them and then "in" -dwelt them: "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost" John 20:22 and then came "upon" them: ". "Behold I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." Luke 24:49 (KJV)

3. "John [the baptist] answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he [jesus] shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire" Luke 3:16 (KJV)

Question: While on Earth, when did Jesus ever baptize anyone with the Holy Ghost__or water for that matter? And yet He is proclaimed to be the Mighty Baptizer of the Holy Ghost. When did He baptize anyone?

Friend, you don't believe in spite of much evidence to the contrary. You are in trouble if you persist in clinging to your position. Here: "Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son." 1 John 2:22 (ESV)

I would very quickly repent of your willful ignorance.

I noticed that you said "Jesus was a created godlike person" The Bible teaches that Jesus was eternal, Colossians 1:16, 17.

If he is before all things and by him all things exist then he is part of the God-Head.

Can any one answer my question concerning Genesis 1:26?

WHO IS THE "US?"

Sure. God, The "Father", who is Spirit, and the "Word", who was equal with God but had a form, that was reproduced in man at creation. Having said that, we really don't know His Name and only suppose it to be pre-incarnate, "Jesus", which I doubt because Jesus was the first of a whole new creation birthed into existence by the Hand of God. Adam=created, Jesus=birthed. Both by the direct Hand of God. Both innocent and were purposed for holiness. In the their "mission", the first Adam failed. The second, didn't.

That is NOT biblical. You have no scripture to support that belief.

The Bible teaches a trinity, 1 John 5:7.

If you have no scripture then all you have is hot air.

I support the doctrine of trinity but I would not use that passage, because it's known that it is not found in the original Greek texts.

I have a theory.

Jesus is the spirit image of God, IT was with God in Genesis. God created all through this created spiritual image. This image was the first creation and was put into Jesus when he was 30..

This however takes off your topic, there are other trinity threads where I have been explaining my theory. I do not wish to make an enemy out of you for stealing your thread friend.

Peace

There is no Gospel in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Anything in the Bible that tells you to do something is law.

The "Historical Gospel" was given to the apostle Paul by Jesus Christ, Galatians 1:11, 12.

You need to find out what this Gospel is.
