I will go as far as to say

Dems vs GOP = G. Bailey vs Mr. Potter
Obama is much more like Mr. Gower than G. Bailey, and Romney is much more like Uncle Billy than Mr. Potter.

Face reality. In this country we get a choice between 2 candidates both being bought and paid for by a small band of plantation owners who dictate to the slaves. I know its ugly but it is reality.

On Health Care, Romney Goes Retro

Jonathan Cohn May 23, 2012 | 11:47 pm

The gist: Repeal the Affordable Care Act; end Medicare and Medicaid as we know it, by turning the former into a voucher program and the latter into a block grant scheme; unravel private insurance, by changing the tax treatment of benefits and undermining state regulation.

The good. Not much. Once in a while he talks up worthwhile reforms designed to improve the quality of care. He also endorses malpractice reform, which is a worthy idea, although his approach would do in a way that reduced damage awards without improving compensation for actual medical errors.

The bad: Changing the tax treatment of health insurance makes sense if you do it alongside other reforms. But if you do it without those reforms, it undermines employer-sponsored coverage without providing adequate alternatives.

The ugly: Tens of millions of people would likely end up without health insurance, relative to what will happen if current law stays in place; in fact, the number could reach 58 million, according to one credible estimate drawn from the (admittedly vague) things he's said so far.

They said it: “Never before in history has a candidate run for President with the idea that too many people have insurance coverage.” – David Cutler, economist at Harvard and 2008 campaign adviser to President Obama.

Romney is also Mr. Potter on education.

The Ryan budget, which Romney supports, adopted by House Republicans, would drastically cut Pell Grants and make college education even more unaffordable for low-income and middle class students alike.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...?ref=education

More than 1 million students would lose Pell grants entirely over the next 10 years under Rep. Paul Ryan's budget, according to an analysis that the national reform organization Education Trust provided to The Huffington Post. [...]

The plan proposed by Ryan (R-Wis.), who chairs the House Budget Committee, would chop away at Pell grant eligibility, thereby reducing total Pell grants by about $200 billion over the next decade; allow the interest rate for federally subsidized Stafford loans to double; end student loan interest subsidies for those still in school; and make Pell spending discretionary—instead of mandatory—allowing further cuts down the line. Pell grants, the largest source of federal financial aid, currently help more than 9 million students to afford college. Following last year's budget standoffs, next year's maximum Pell grant of $5,645 will cover just one-third of the average cost of college—the smallest share ever.[...]

And it gets worse. Sixty percent of students who receive Pell grants also take out loans—twice the rate for college students overall—so they might be doubly hit by the Ryan cuts: In addition to receiving less Pell money, they would have to start paying interest on their loans while still in school.

Romney's education record as governor of Masschussetts.

How Obama Can Really Hurt the GOP: Focus on Its Radical Economic Plan

The president can sink Romney by trumpeting the details of the ludicrous economic solutions he’s been backing. How Mitt would turn America into one big Pottersville.

You are right - Lying is not always illegal.

Let me see if I have this straight –

Romney supposedly left Bain in 1999.

But the jobs created at the Bain connected Staples were created after Romney left Bain (although Romney has claimed credit for those jobs and wants us to view those jobs as his qualification for becoming president).

On the other hand Obama has attacked Romney for Bain connected companies that went bankrupt, had their pensions raided and their jobs shipped overseas after 1999 and Romney has called Obama a liar for pinning those post 1999 bad outcomes on him.

Now SEC documents have been uncovered that name Romney as Owner, CEO and president of Bain in 2001 and 2002.

Plus, it has been recently made known that Romney’s company in 1998 was connected with a Chinese company that specialized in taking over jobs outsourced from America. It just gets better and better after each new revelation.

Now Romney wants people to believe that he will protect us from China's unfair trade practices.

Google the above for confirmation.

Multiple Choice Question

A) Does Mitt Romney = Buy.... Buy....Buy... " America ".
or
B) Does Mitt Romney = Bye.... Bye....Bye... " America ".

Governor Romney vetoed a bill that would have banned state contractors from outsourcing state work overseas. [Boston Globe, 6/26/04]
