ALL Christians (& all freedom-loving Americans) should be concerned about this “Catholic” issue

The following is taken from the words of a lawsuit Notre Dame University has filed against the obama administration, which is forcing a mandate on Catholics (their institutions)

(My comments are in brackets)

Surely you will see in this situation a threat to YOUR Protestant/Jewish religious institutions as well (?)

“[The] mandate requires Notre Dame and similar religious organizations to provide in their insurance plans abortion-inducing drugs, contraceptives and sterilization procedures… contrary to Catholic teaching…, [If] the Government wishes to provide such services, means are available that do not compel religious organizations to serve as its agents. We do not seek to impose our religious beliefs on others; we… ask that the government not impose its values on the University when those values conflict with our religious teachings.. [If] we concede that the Government can decide which religious organizations are sufficiently religious to be awarded the freedom to follow [their] principles… mission, then we… [are led] to the [tyrannical] undermining of those institutions [oppression/tyranny].

[Is it Constitutional for a] Presidential Administration [to] override our religious purpose and use religious organizations to advance policies that undercut our values… [?]

[and this will] surely [lead to other] Administration[s doing] the same for another… set of policies, each time invoking some concept of popular will… public good… [T]hese religious organizations [then] become mere tools for the exercise of government power … [It will be] the end of genuinely religious organizations…

There's nothing here forcing anyone to actually use any of these insurance benefits. The law only requires that the benefits be available.

Obama has already agreed to have the insurance companies pay for these things, so they are basically being provided for free.

If you don't like, don't use it. Simple as that. Or are you afraid that your people will give onto temptation?

Religious institutions should NOT be required to even make it available. Why don't you get it?

Because there are some religious institutions (not all of them Christian) that would choose not to have healthcare at all, because their religion doesn't believe in medicine. I'd rather not give them any ground.

I'm also in favor of having things available and not using them instead of not having them and possibly needing to use them. Like guns, for example. I have no intention of ever owning a gun, but I'm glad we have them available.

This all boils down to birth control and the catholic churchs desire to elimiate it so everyone has tons of kids and lives in poverty. People in poverty are easier for religious institutions to control. i can garuentte that not every catholic agrees with the churchs stance on birth control. Also not everyone working for the catholic church is catholic, the catholic church is basicly a mega corporation, they own land and other interests outside of just "the church".

I bet that you do not realize that most of the young ladies sitting in the pews are on birth control. They disagree with your Pope. It is their choice as it should be. The church should keep their nose out of it. Their nose does not belong in any ones bedroom.

We all pay for things that go against our wishes, thats what a democracy is. Goverment is suppose to do what is best for the majority. Health care is in trouble, why, because some folks are not paying their fair share. They get the care but don't pay for it. So every one else gets the bill in their Health Insurance costs. Life is not fair so we have to deal with it.

Psalm 1[/color] and Job 28:28

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Joh 4:23 "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns[ruling offices] like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

"No time to read this"? Take your ADD meds.
