So there was this economic system set up in ancient Israel by Solomon. What was happening was that all the power and wealth was being concentrated in Jerusalem and placed in the hands of fewer and fewer people. The "Solomon Clan" had a monopoly on power and wealth. The way that the "Solomon Clan" got control of power was through religion. Religion bestowed power on the "Solomon Clan". And religion thought that it could retain power by controlling the "Solomon Clan". But as soon as the "Solomon Clan" had power it sought a way to free itself from the control of religion.

That was Solomon's big problem. 10% of the religion was not a sham. After Solomon died the religious breach became ever more apparent. The 10% of the religion that opposed Solomon's clan was just to strong and the clan collapsed. What the 10% did was to call up reserves. The people here at TOL who call themselves "Christians" would recognize this reserve force as if it were-

No you don't you know that if you present your message though twisting and misrepresenting scripture we won't listen to it.

The fact that Monarchies can be quite corrupt and that Solomon's became corrupt isn't news, the Bible teaches that plainly. Religion is more powerful than any political party, political movement, political organization, political anything. For centuries the Pope rested his foot on the forehead of every king, potentate, magistrate, governor, mayor and prime minister. The modern Soviet got a lot of press kicking the Orthodox Church in the teeth. In the end the Russian Orthodox Church gummed Communism to death.

King Solomon was a sexual predator. If you were an Israelite back then and had a pretty daughter you did not want Solomon to find that out.
