So I guess I would have to say yes to a form of God.

I think so. At least his spirit is, and he is spirit.

Listen to Paul:

Rom 15:6 so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Eph 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Jesus has a God, he was sent by his God.
When you face Jesus in the eternal age, will you ask, "Show me God, your Father." Do you think Jesus will say, "Don't you know me, keypurr, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, "Show me your Father?" (see John 14:8-9)

But John 1:1 says this "form" WAS God. Do you agree?

GOD is infinite invisible spirit being.
He does not 'appear', is not seen.....unless it is in the 'form' of the 'Shekinah Glory' , the Angel of YHVH, or in the person of His Son, who is the image of the invisible GOD.
GOD united with man in the person of Jesus Christ so that we could 'see' GOD and know GOD face to face.
If you don't know GOD in Jesus Christ, you don't know the true GOD.

Appear, appearing:
ἐπιφάνεια
epipháneia; gen. epiphaneías, fem. noun from epiphaínō (G2014), to appear. An appearing, appearance. Epipháneia is spoken of the first advent of the Lord Jesus (2Ti_1:10). Epiphaínō (G2014) in the mid. pass. form, epiphaínomai, to appear, to manifest oneself. Epipháneia is used only by Paul for the second and future appearance of the Lord (2Th_2:8; 1Ti_6:14; 2Ti_4:1, 2Ti_4:8; Tit_2:13 [cf. Luk_1:78-79]).
-Spiros Zodhiates-Complete Word Study Dictionary

*Edit:

In Titus 2:13 'appearing' means to be literally seen with the eye.
Spirit in both Hebrew and Greek is analogous to 'wind'.
Have you ever literally seen the wind?
Likewise, Spirit is not seen with the eye....only its' effects are seen.

According to Titus 2:13, Jesus Christ, who is the true GOD and Saviour, will be literally seen with the eye.

I love His appearing! 2Ti 4:8
Do you?

No, Jesus was not "a form of God." He was God.
His form was God before He took on the form of a man.

By your reasoning, Jesus wasn't really a man, He was just in the form of a man. A butterfly was in the form of a caterpillar before it took on the appearance of a butterfly. So, you can't say that butterfly became a form of the caterpillar. See how you've got it backwards?

Your wrong again. I said he has deity. God gave him Deity. You say he is God, the Apostle Paul and I say he is a FORM of God. He has deity. it is not me who is downplaying his position friend. I am just quoting Paul.
Don't put yourself in company with Paul because that is not what Paul said.

Philippians 2:5-7
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God (a caterpillar), thought it not robbery to be equal with God: (a caterpillar) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, (butterfly) and was made in the likeness of men: (butterfly)

No, He was in the form of a caterpillar (God) from the beginning...the very image of a caterpillar (God).

Notice the 'problems' are only within the human mind, and its various concepts of 'God', yet when these concepts are relaxed and 'God' is accepted as the original, pervading, immanent and transcendent Reality-source....there is only 'God'. - all else are 'interpretations' of mind, the play of 'language' and 'dimension' (the theatre of space-time).

Injoy!

Of course not! Paul said that Jesus is the servant of the Circumcision, Romans 15:8. He is not less than the Circumcision.

Paul also said that the man is the head of the wife as God is the head of Christ. The wife is not less than her husband. So Christ is not less than God. The wife is not lesser "man" than her husband. So Christ is not lesser God than His own Father.
