UN EU Treaties - May 8th, 2012, 06:29 AM

Dick Morris spoke about Obama's planned treaties on Sean Hannity's Program, 7 May 2012. Some highlights from his new book discussed on the program:

[Dick Morris.com] "...The end-of-his-term treaties Obama and Hillary are negotiating with the UN and the EU. They would:

• Enact comprehensive gun control,
• Ban space based missile interceptors (our best defense against Iran and North Korea),
• Require us to pay a UN body half of our royalties from off-shore drilling,
• Establish a legal right to US foreign aid,
• Ban use of our military without U.N. approval.
• Create a legal right to welfare
These measures are all proceeding in secret…until now! We advanced our publication date to be able to alert the public to these dangers!
• China’s currency manipulation which is solely responsible for its trade surplus with the US. China’s hacking of our technology, its policy of industrial espionage, and its demand that companies give it their technology as the price of access to the Chinese market. The book proposes immediate concrete steps to counter China’s practices.
• How Saudi Arabia uses our oil money to fund terrorism. 90 percent of Muslim fundamentalist funding comes from the monarchy we prop up with our military strength. Screwed lays out a comprehensive strategy for oil independence within three years!
• How Pakistan uses our military aid to kill our troops. Screwed proposes a bold new strategy of “triangulation” with India to check Pakistan.
• How our foreign aid goes to our worst enemies and does the poor nations that get it harm…and no god!
• How the United Nations is a screen for corruption and won’t move to stop it.
• How the Afghan regime of Karzai is totally corrupt, heavily involved in the drug trade, and not worth a single American life. Screwed suggests how to fight al Qaeda without having to prop up Karzai.
• And, most importantly, how our own former Congressional leaders are now working as lobbyists for our enemies to undermine our national security!

His sources are in his book. Senator Lugar was a big part of this. Thankfully, has been voted out of office.

Why would anyone need to "negotiate with the UN and EU" regarding internal matters like welfare or gun control? This doesn't seem credible. Most of the things on the list alleging our leaders willingly cripple our economy or military influence are highly suspect.

No one would "need" to. They want to (Ob 7, Re 13:17).

• Enact comprehensive gun control,
Highly unlikely. As far as I'm aware, there is no EU policy on gun control even amongst EU countries. In the UK, gun legislation isn't even made on a national level - Northern Ireland has its own policies. There are currently negotiations on creating a small arms trade treaty, about the international trade of small arms, but this is not the same thing as gun control. And the negotiations have been scuppered by China and the US (with the latter insisting bullets are not arms).

Quote:
• Ban space based missile interceptors (our best defense against Iran and North Korea),
Possible, because there aren't really any treaties on the governance of space, and because it is possibly considered shared. However, Iran and North Korea are a long way away against developing such long range missiles.

Quote:
• Require us to pay a UN body half of our royalties from off-shore drilling,
Again, unlikely. There might be negotiations about financial responsibility for off-shore drilling as far as environmental damage, etc., is concerned, but it's unlikely to be a tax.

Quote:
• Establish a legal right to US foreign aid,
The US already makes commitments on foreign aid which are theoretically binding. The US renages on them quite regularly.

Quote:
• Ban use of our military without U.N. approval.
There are already international mechanisms through which a lot of military intervention can be considered violations of international law (e.g. the debate over the legality of the Iraq War).

Quote:
• Create a legal right to welfare
Probably not a legal right to welfare as such, but a legal right to, for example, a home, employment prospects, health, access to certain drugs, and so on. But there are already treaties to which the US is party to which outline these rights.

Quote:
• China’s currency manipulation which is solely responsible for its trade surplus with the US. China’s hacking of our technology, its policy of industrial espionage, and its demand that companies give it their technology as the price of access to the Chinese market.
Old news.

Again, nothing new in these allegations. Oil independence would be a massive advantage to any country, particularly if coupled with renewable, environmentally-friendly practices.

Quote:
• How Pakistan uses our military aid to kill our troops. Screwed proposes a bold new strategy of “triangulation” with India to check Pakistan.
Nothing new here. But getting India involved, perhaps to provoke another regional conflict? Great idea!

Quote:

• How the United Nations is a screen for corruption and won’t move to stop it.
• How the Afghan regime of Karzai is totally corrupt, heavily involved in the drug trade, and not worth a single American life.
Again, nothing new in any of these.

Leave Afghanistan and stop meddling in other countries, perhaps?
