Actually I was saying set him free, give him enough income to live on without stealing and then give him a choice. I call it the Garden of Eden solution.

And how is that not going to cost the tax payers? Since that was your platform to begin with.

"Davis’s unusually long sentence results from a controversial [meaning those that defend criminals find it "controversial"] practice known as “stacking,” in which each count of an indictment is counted as a separate crime, thus transforming a first-time defendant into a “habitual criminal” subject to multiple sentences and mandatory sentencing guidelines...

On February 9 of this year he was convicted of committing seven armed robberies [count em Ralphie, 7] at fast-food restaurants, a Walgreens pharmacy and other commercial establishments in the Miami area from August to October of 2010."

So if "Q' had been arrested, prosecuted, convicted and sentenced separately on all seven [count em Ralphie, 7] counts, his time in prison would have been the equivalent to what he was just given.

Yet liberals still try to defend hardcore criminals like this, saying "It's not faaaaaair!"

Have you any idea what it will cost over a lifetime to keep him in jail? It is a huge sum. Paid with tax dollars.

So how long do you support the criminal when he is out of jail? A week? A month? A Year? Until he gets a job? What if they don't hire him for a few years? How much is enough? Should it be right at the poverty line? A little above it? Below it? What if he has a family that relies on them, are they covered to? What about their medical expenses? Is he insured? What if he doesn't have a vehicle, should that be paid for as well? He doesn't have a suit for the interview, what about that? etc etc etc. Where does it stop? There is a reason this doesn't exist.

"In a statement issued the day after the sentencing, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Wifredo Ferrer hailed Davis’s lock-up for life as sending an unmistakable warning to anyone seeking to profit from violent crime.

“We will not allow our community to be overrun by guns and violence,” he said.

Although he has no alternative explanation, Davis cannot accept that that is the real reason he will have to die in prison.

“There ain’t no justice in the justice system,” he said, gazing down at his olive-green prison jumpsuit and beige rubber sandals.

“I ain’t going to never accept what happened,” he added. “They know it aint right."

"Q" sounds so remorseful that he pulled off (at least) 7 armed robberies.

Let me put it this way Eeset: You can enjoy your double cheeseburger at Wendy's a bit more knowing that thugs like Quartavious Davis won't be coming in to rob the joint (or possibly you) anytime soon.

First...I don't do junk food.
Second, has it ever occurred to you that some crime is motivated by lack of any other way to earn money? And then the result is society provides very expensive incarceration which ends up being paid for through taxes. Its called the Prison industrial complex and it has become one of the largest industries in America.
