Mad World

A new song that has grown on me. These melancholy songs are some of my favorites. It is much healthier to go and listen to music like this when you are depressed than it is to go to alcohol or drugs. It is counter intuitive, but melancholy songs help me when I feel down.

I did not realize that tears for fears did "mad world" first back in 1983. I had never heard it back then. It must not have been a big hit. The disco- techno pop melody that tears for fears uses does not match the lyrics to the song at all. This is another example of the cover being much better than the original.
