It is of critical importance that we continually remind ourselves that we are in fact NOT God, it will improve our relationships and reduce conflict in our interactions with each other. Even people that I know WELL in real life, I dont know what is going on in their life at the same level of detail that God does or how or what God is working on them with. Or even if God has leaned toward grace on some of the more gray areas of scripture even though us as human beings like to apply the harshest standard that can possibly be intrurpreted from any given scripture and conviently omit Gods grace, I see it all over these forums.

It is not just these forums its an epidemic that is all across christianity. So many christians want to lean as far towards justice and wrath as they can get away with in intrupretation, Grace is nearly absent from alot of modern churchs especially the catholic church.

You keep talking about Jesus comming with a sword, that is true but I would like to think that he will be comming after the truely wicked and not the guy that got remarried or has one too many beers too often but yet tries to model their life after Christ. Grace is the hope, with out the hope of grace then we really have nothing to look forward to if all our mistakes are held against us.

nice how u categorize sins according to YOUR definition of what is egregious and what is not... In Micah (I think) it says God hates divorce... not good when God hates something u r doing...

if Christ established a Church (which he did)

it is imperative that all who love Chirst belong to it

and it is also therefore imperative that all who belong to it adhere to ALL its teachings, without ... cafeteria syndrome
