For me it's more about speaking in terms all can understand. Like speaking the same language, if you will. Logic and reason put us all on the same playing field. If we include religious conviction, we are often talking past each other... England is predominantly Christian but we also have large Muslim, Hindu, etc, populations, as well as many atheists and agnostics. If everyone spoke their own language, it would prove much more difficult to agree or even understand. It's not that I find all religious conviction illogical or irrational or anything like it, it's more that there is a barrier to understanding between one who bases their conviction in Christianity and one who bases it in Hinduism. If we speak in a language that is common to all - rationality, logic, reason - then we can much better understand each other.

Does that make any sense?

One of the more obvious areas is, of course, ACW's desire to criminalize homosexuality. But there are far more issues of a more subtle nature such as banning certain books from schools and controlling the internet.

I have watched Atheism grow markedly over the last few decades. If they become the majority are you willing to abide by legislation which removes religious exemptions from property taxes?

It is all so confusing.

sure I'm all in favorof religious freedom.

but the real problem is defining religion.

Let me make it simple for ya Mary, I don't like religions, nor corperate goverments, nor their property taxes, when used in the context of freedom because they all put yokes around your neck, your a bright gal so you must see this behind your veil where we all ask question within if what we believe is right, your religion makes you think your the only ones right while myriads of your fellow human brother and sisters get deep fried, so with this mentality I can understand why your not getting it with your lower nature in command.

I quoted Henry to show the kind of people we have had and still do as our leaders, and what they think of the common man, noticed the leader who didn't comply with the corperate think and speak got a magic bullet in the head.

Blessings, Zeke.

So...my religion and the resulting mentality that stems from it is what rendered me unable to understand what you said. Rather than your not communicating it very clearly.

So I guess I won't waste any more of your time. I'll be over here with the rest of the people who are too far beneath you to bother with. Have a nice day.
