Satan Must Persecute Jesus -
September 19th, 2012, 09:28 AM
There are only two Spirits in the world, the Spirit of satan and the Spirit of Christ.
The Spirit of satan is that of an accuser, Revelation 12:10. He is always accusing Christians of not living up to what Christ was. I have found that those who are possesed with the Spirit of satan are nit pickers, they are always looking for something to accuse Christians of not doing or being.
Jesus said, "If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you," John 15:20. Who are the they? They are the ones that have the Spirit of satan. All of the apostles except for John died violent deaths at the hands of the religious.
These people that are possed with the Spirit of satan don't necessarily have to have a reason to persecute you. Jesus said, "They hated me without a cause." If they can't find something to accuse you of they will manufacture something.
Persecution is part of the Christians life. Paul wrote to Timothy, "Yea, and all that live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution," 2 Timothy 3:12. If you are not living a Godly life chances are you will not suffer much persecution. The devil is only after those who are strong witnesses for Christ and his Gospel.
Got problems with family? Welcome to the club. Got family members that just can't stand you? Jesus said, "Think not that I am come to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his Father, and the daughter against mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes shall be those of his own household," Matthew 10:34, 35, 36.
Got problems at work? I have had people say to me, "I don't know what it is about you, but I just can't stand you." I am retired now, but I was always being persecuted when I was working with others.
Got problems in business? I was in business for myself for about 30 years. I had to be very careful about who I did business with. Sometimes they didn't want to pay me. There was this one guy that didn't want to pay me, I asked him why he didn't want to pay me. he said, "I don't know why I just don't want to pay you, I can't explain it."
Those who are Christ's are a witness for Christ and will suffer persecution. We are a reminder to the lost that they are under the judgment of God. They don't like being reminded of this and wish that you would go away.

What a gross misapplication of the scriptures. Big thumbs down!

I noticed on your mast head that you are Extremely Liberal. Chances are you are not living a godly life. Therefore you are no threat to satan and his Kingdom.
Therefore you are no threat to satan and his Kingdom.
You are the one that is not a threat to satan because you glorify him so much. But I preach that satan has been destroyed. Jesus said the the prince of the world has been "cast out," John 12:31. The apostle John said that Christ was manifested that He might "destroy the works of the devil," 1 John 3:8.
Did Jesus fail?

Isn't it amazing how Pate can say that me and you by implication are "no threat" to satan when Pate is the one who glorifies him?

You both have plausible arguments because I have had trouble with people at work for absolutely no reason. I look in their eyes and it is as if they are mesmerized automatons.
Fortunately , Christians are Protected directly from Satan.
But Satan can use other people to Tempt and upset us.
Jesus prayed to the Father to protect us .
Joh 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world,
but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
2Th 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

Try being Friendly.
Pr 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Tit 1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
1Pe 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Did Jesus fail?
No, Jesus did not fail.
Jesus has successfully defeated sin, death and the devil, Colossians 2:15.
However, this will not become a reality until Christ appears.
If you don't think that the devil is alive and well say something against Islam on U-Tube.

The one that wrote 2 Thessalonians 3:3 was beheaded because of his faith in Christ.
Jhn 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? [even] because ye cannot hear my word.
Jhn 8:44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Jhn 8:45 And because I tell [you] the truth, ye believe me not.

All relationships are spiritual.
Everyone that you know or come in contact with has either the Spirit of satan or the Spirit of Christ.
If you are yoked together with an unbeliever in family, marriage, business, or whatever, you are in for trouble, 2 Corinthians 6:14.

What's a mast head
Anyways, extreme liberalism is a bit contradictory to *Christian*
But
How many martyrs have come out of your denomination? I see Protestants and the like commonly doing the exact opposite of what you speak of. How exactly does one petition what is righteous, pinning it against others, when you yourself do not even play the part?
You may as well have one finger pointed at yourself if you have one pointed at others.

A mast head is that which identifies you and who you are. It is on the upper left side of the screen.
I don't have a denomination. I am a Christian.
The Gospel calls for a holy living. All who have come to Christ to be saved and are trusting in his righteousness and not their own, are baptized with the Holy Spirit, Romans 6:3.
It is the Holy Spirit working in their lives that makes them witnesses for Christ and his Gospel, Ephesians 2:10.
If you are not being persecuted by satan you may not have the Holy Spirit.
