I have a really difficult time even considering voting for a multimillionaire who believes that Joseph Smith received a divine translation of tablets in the early 1820's. A buried book of golden plates inscribed with a Judeo-Christian history of ancient American civilizations. In 1830, he published what he said was an English translation of these plates as the Book of Mormon
Are you looking for a pastor or a president Eeset?

Romney believes he will be..... well what does he really believe?
I could really care less about his religious preference, sure I would love it if he was a Christian and with that said do you really know what Obama believes? neither do I but, I do know he has been absolutely horrible for this nation. I am not looking for a pastor, I am looking for a president, a leader, a person that can move this country in the opposite direction, Obama is not that person, clearly.

Then you like the black liberation theology of obama better which teaches this:
Quote:
"Whether the American system is beyond redemption we will have to wait and see. But we can be certain that black patience has run out, and unless white America responds positively to the theory and activity of Black Power, then a bloody, protracted civil war is inevitable."

The problem is that the republicans offer us a worse alternative. It is all a shame.
Republicans will think so...a lotta needy Americans will not feel convinced.
A lot of liberals thought O was crushed, too.

Romney looked confident ... and competent. He definitely won the first debate without a doubt ... and I predict that this is just the beginning. He was so right when he shared: This election is not just a choice between himself and the President ... but about what direction our country plans to take.
The President often just rambled ... mentioning so many topics within his reply to a specific question that it was confusing.

I thought Romney won. He seemed more assertive and in control. He seemed to be able to get some good attacks out there. I was surprised he did as well as he did.
The $5 trillion in tax cuts for Romney might come back to hurt him. I was flipping through channels watching analysis after the debate and one thing Brit Hume said is that Romney didn't explain how or why his plan wouldn't have that $5 trillion cut, we just have to take Romney's word for it, and that might not be enough. I do think Romney should have explained that better. Him and Obama just kept going back and forth on it.
A couple moments I chuckled at. At one point Romney mentioned "poor kids" but then quickly changed it to "lower income".
Also, during the health insurance section Obama made a comment about how private insurance companies have to make a profit, and then he quickly added, "not that there's anything wrong with that". I had to think of that one Seinfeld episode.
When I get home tonight I want to look for some Fact Check articles on the debate so I can figure out how many lies were told.
I may be wrong here, so help me understand something...
Isn't Romney proposing to let the states handle their own healthcare, saying they can do a better job of it than can the federal government? And didn't he use his own state as an example to prove his point?
If I'm right in that summary, then didn't he ALSO begin laying out how the federal government would provide for healthcare for its citizens? How can he say he wants to leave it to the states while ALSO handling it at the federal level?
What did I miss?

I'm not republican and i dont like romney or obama.
Romney killed Obama in that debate and made him look like the apologetic weak submissive thing he is. Anyone who is honest knows who won that.
If truth and consistency are important to you - Obama won
If truth and consistency are not important to you - Romney won

Obama was honest. Romney was trying to kidglove the undecided. Trying to win the middle ground.
Here was my email to the President after the debate

Dear Sir
Trying to debate Gov Romney is like trying to nail jello to the wall but nail him you must if people are to see the truth of what this snake oil salesman is selling to the American people.
