a law of faith -

Is the "law of faith" spoken of in Romans by Paul a new law or requirement for salvation? No.
Romans 3:27 Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
Romans 3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.
Consider the word here seems to follow that in view of the fact that God will justify the Gentiles by faith, and that He does not show partiality, and we see in this that both the Jews and the Gentiles are justified by faith, the rule/principle/law of faith excludes boasting on account of the Law.
And it was just said previously, that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV) And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
Deuteronomy 10:13 (KJV) To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but will put this forth for your consideration.
The Law of Faith is just like the Law of Sin and Death....or the Law of Gravity. It's an established principle.
The Law of Sin and Death states that if you sin you die.
The Law of Gravity states that an object dropped from a height will fall.
The Law of Faith states that we reach God by believing and trusting in Him....not by climbing a ladder of works.

It is simply showing that 'Faith' is the only way a man can be saved.
There was never salvation promised accept by faith, and there certainly is no salvation under the law of moses...
A man enters salvation by faith, alone, the works are the result of the Holy Spirit working in a man, both old and new covenants.
When a man claims their works come from the law of moses, they are not in the gospel.
Everyday is a new start, to love God, and love others more.

yet I would ask how one could do works from the law of Moses without faith. I think the twisting away comes when we use Gods law to judge each other, to hold each other to the law which we are all guilty of breaking. even before the ten commandments with Noah and with Abraham it was Grace through faith. it didn't change with Jesus, it was made clear. stone people to death? yeah you who is without sin yourself. "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord, I will repay!" just what was the leaven of the pharisees? they exalted themselves as being "closer to God" "exclusively religious"
Hypocrites. sinners who administer the justice and punishment of God! They judged themselves above the word of God and so they crucified it! We can see that same thing happening today, can't we?
It's not about Gods word, it's about our church. yeah. right?
" Destroy that temple, and I will rebuild it in three days." and he did!
you can't kill the truth. it'll come back and judge you.
The law of Faith means in that context that Salvation by Christ or Justification by Christ has been made known to one by God given Faith ! So a Person does not perform any condition to get saved, but has his Salvation revealed to him by God given faith when they are born again !
Rom 2:28-29
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

God gives us faith, that is true.
Faith is not of works. It does involve the person (the individual), though.
Some people have faith. Some people do not.

For me, as I look into what the "change of law" is spoken of in the book of Hebrews (Hebrews 7:12), I am pointing out the need to clarify that it is not about the "law of faith". That would be saying that salvation was not by faith prior to Christ and the New Testament (Romans 11:6).

FROM FAITH TO FAITH. There are two faiths...ours in Christ and His which gives us life. We are reconciled to God (by faith of Christ), and we must be reconciled to God. (our faith in Him).
Rom. 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
