What means the THIRD DAY , 1 Cor 15:4 ? - June 8th, 2012, 06:06 PM

Hi to all , and when the Bible and especially the Gospel , were they written ?

In 1 Cor 15:4 , it reads , " and that He was buried , and that He was Raised the THIRD DAY according to the SCRIPTURES ".

The phrase " the third day " is NOT found in the OT CONCERNING THE RESURRECTION OF cHRIST .

It is found ONLY in Matt 16:21 ; 17:23 ; Mark 9:31 ; 10:34 ; and in Luke 9:22 ; 24:7 , 21 , 46 .

This to me , INTERNAL evidence that the these 3 Gospels HAD BEEN WRITTEN and were in circulation at that TIME ??

Paul definitely wrote that it " was according to the Scriptures " .

I believe it is refering , NOT to the OT , BUT to the Gospels of Matthew , Mark and Luke !!

I have seen the below scripture referenced to I Cor. 15:4.

"After two days will he revive us: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight" (Hosea 6:1:2).
