If you think we're the only possible humans. But there were humans before our particular species was here. If Adam was H. erectus, would it matter?

I do however understand, and have witnessed, certain animals and plants adapting in minor areas to survive. People from the deep South for instance, require several seasons of acclimation before being comfortable in the cooler environments. This is a natural adaptation, not evolution.

Populations evolve. Individuals don't.

Do you believe that you are equal to the animals and plants since creation?

Being given an immortal soul directly by God, that does make a difference, no?

So are plate tectonics, neutrons, solid-state electronics, etc. Not everything true can be found in the Bible. It's about God and man and our relationship.

Keep your new creationists doctrines if you like. God won't send you to hell for being wrong. But it's probably not good for your soul to be mocking Christians who have not added your doctrines to their beliefs.

It is about science, albeit rather confused, and with some misunderstandings of the scientific terms you used. Point mutations that don't affect regulatory genes are not heterochronic, for example. The "point" coloration mutation for cats is like that.
