This landmark law, passed after progressives and Presidents tried for 100 years to do health care reform right, expands coverage to 30 million people and eliminates the worst insurance company abuses for those of us with coverage. It stops insurance companies from denying our care and jacking up our rates whenever they please. It puts us well on the way to quality, affordable health care for all.

Many progressive Democrats are not satisfied with Obamacare because, they wanted something different, at the very least they wanted a public option. This doesn't mean they support or are going to vote for Romney or Republicans in November. They will hold their nose and vote for President Obama in November rather than cutoff their nose and vote Republican.

Public option is proposed healthcare reform that would give individuals and employers a choice between government-provided healthcare--in a system run similarly to Medicare--or private healthcare. It is a kind of hybrid system between single-payer, or universal, healthcare and the current system serviced primarily by private insurance companies.

I am one of them, and I think the single payer option will be implemented eventually.
